booing Zach

Professional athletes are paid millions to take on this type of scrutiny. It comes with the paycheck, and the reason they make so much is because of the very passion you're ridiculing.

If Zach is going to break from the fans reaction then he was never going to succeed. And I'm not sure the fans are demanding a lot - Just more than the historically bad bullsh*t we seen today. 10 years of this nonsense - They could have stormed the field and I wouldn't have blamed them. This franchise is pain.

JD and SALEH are paper tigers — they have done nothing in lateral positions because they are novices in their positions. Yeah they can be phenoms but fact. Is there is no past performance. It is much more likely they aren’t Theo Epstein and Bear Bryant.

That’s why so many people were like GO GET COWHER when it was apparent he may have Ben available — Or anyone that is not a first time at the new job, but someone with bonafides.

Saleh was the flavor of the month. This team hasn’t beaten the Pats since Rex Ryan. Mime McCarthy also says hi and wyd these days. Remember going Adam Gase instead of McCarthy, because Rodgers was the good guy in that comic book. Ok.

Not disagreeing but every HC/GM was a first timer at some point. The Johnsons made mature and sensible choices this time around. However, that does not mean they should accept poor performance forever. JD should be on a short leash at this point.

but booing a rookie in his 2nd professional game is a new low.

yeah i know. you pay alot for the ticket so you can do anything you want. but do you think it helps? the Mets Middle finger thing is proof that they hear you and they dont like it.

if you want him to be what we all hope he can be then we should be supporting him. and again i cant say this enough.. its only his 2ND GAME!!!!!

I wasn’t there, but about a dozen of people who were told me it wasn’t Zach they were booing. They were booing because the best jump ball man on the team was being benched while Zach threw the game away with jumping balls. So.. they were actually booing to help Zach. FREE DENZEL

Then no first time GM/coach has any. JD was assistant GM to a SB winner who came up through the scouting ranks and was respected around the league as a talent evaluator. Saleh was DC to an excellent defense, including a year he overcame massive injury adversity and still his unit put up a top 10 season. Like it or not, people get promoted based on their success at their jobs. It's not perfect but it's the best measure available. Doesn't guarantee success but JD and Saleh were very qualified to get their opportunity at the big chairs. They were good guys to take a chance on. Unlike Idzik (cap specialist with zero talent evaluation experience), Macc (about to be fired from Texans), and Gase (proven HC failure).

I have slammed the Johnsons over the years but if JD and Saleh fail it will not because the Johnsons employed a boneheaded process to hire them.

STOP with this Sam excuses bullshiiit!!!!! The kid doesn't have the same excuses today
The oline played good, the rb did their job, the D was on point.

He lost the ****oong game....he did, noone else. Point blank period. If he is such a pansy ass football player that he can't handle getting his ego bruised after he throws 4....I'll say it again FOUR interceptions then he might as well walk away from professional sports right now.

Bull, I was there and the fans around me were booing Zach.

It was blatantly obvious.

i'm so tired of everyone whining about booing.  these guys are PROFESSIONALS.  they've been dealing with fans their entire life.  if they don't like it, don't play the sport.  don't be the QB of the new york jets.  if you can't handle it, then you can't play the position.

also,  jets fans haven't been in the stadium since 10/22/19.  we watched them go 2-14 last year, arguably the worst season in franchise history.  apologies if we're upset that the "savior" of a QB threw 4 TERRIBLE interceptions.

I think our new chant should be **** Woody Johnson.

Yeah, booing the one guy what was out of the country when this was all put together and had nothing to do with the loss.  Thats the guy we should have been booing.  lol, that makes the booing more on point.

Just boo if you want.  I just scream obscenities but thats me

Patriot fans.

I had a Patriots fan thrown out yesterday. The fan was holding up a Brady jersey and I asked him to lower it so I could see the game. He told me to "eff off". I walked to security explained that a fan was obstructing my view and then used profanity with children in the area. They kindly escorted him out and his party.

it was after the 4th INT. it was for Zach.

This is false. It happened on an incompletion after the entire game was a complete crapfest.

But the booing was for Zach, the rest of the aside from WRs played well.

Finally you aren’t the fan police. If so you should find a new job.

Jeter, Rivera and Ewing are all in the HOF.  Apparently the booing didn't impact their performance negatively.  The great ones aren't mental midgets.  Their tough as nails and frankly they would boo themselves when they stunk up the joint.

4 picks will do that no matter who the Qb is rookie or vet. And Zach in his post game interview when asked about it basically said he deserved to be booed. I was at the game. Almost all of the fans I came in contact with were OK. And if you were an NEP fan you were not harassed (unlike some stadiums like their's) you were left alone. So we don't have a terrible fan base (I didn't boo him but I get it) just loyals who want to win.

they didnt get booed in there 1st home game. 2nd pro game of there career. thats the whole point of this post.

im sure if Jeter went 1-4 with 2 RBIs in his 1st game on the road, then went to Yankee stadium for the 1st time and went 0-4 with 4 strikeouts and an error the fans didnt boo him.

Verlander never would come to NY

Max Scherzer told Washington that he didnt want to come to NY at the trade deadline. he is 7-0 with a 0.72 ERA in LA.

then you blame JD for only getting Fant, GVR and Fenney. what good FA wants to come here when a team whos taxes and fans are better wants them. see how hard it will be for the Mets to sign a good FA after the middle finger thing. but at least with baseball there is no salary cap so Cohen can pay them alot more to come here. no cap in football. cant go crazy overpaying players or you wont be able to field a team.

just saying we are suppose to develop the QB. his 1st ever horrible game in his 1st ever home game he shouldn't have gotten booed.

Who cares.  Jets fans have been dealt a pile of crap for a long time.  They got a crappy stadium where most of the seats are a mile from the field.  They paid for PSL's and pay a fortune for seats and crappy food. Most of the time the game is stopped for commercials.  The small amount of actual action was an abomination.

FYI the season ticket holders are paying a ton in taxes and have decided to live in the Metropolitan area.

The guys who have had success in NY sports are revered and get more publicity and more money for off the field endorsements.

Zach is the QB.  He knows the deal.  Fans want to boo they boo.  Fans want to cheer they cheer.   You want to be a pro and make millions as a gladiator you turn the crowd around with great performances.

If Zach actually has the goods he will be one of the most revered athletes in the entire country.

well - it happened. It probably wouldn't have happened in many NFL cities (Green Bay, KC), but it would have happened in a few (Philly, Chi). I chalk it up to high expectations and years of frustration. Some folks were even unrealistically predicting a winning record and playoffs and their bubble burst.  Let's hope the HC can pick up the pieces as the season goes along. That's what I'm looking for.

I will boo whomever I wish as loudly and as often as I want to. Zack doesn’t need you white knighting for him online. If he can’t handle some jeers, good luck against Denver pass rush.

Exactly this virtue signaling and fan etiquette BS is nauseating!

Zach is in a Man's league now...he'll need to be able to handle it or he won't be here for long. Period!

I was at the game yesterday with my son, and I will tell you that my son and I were not booing Zach, and neither was any of the fans who were sitting around me booing him.

Please don't lump all NY fans together, okay?  If you were at the game as I was yesterday, there were only a small percentage of fans booing Zach.  The majority of Jets fans did not in fact boo him.
