Jets fans booed Wilson in his first home game….his first actual time playing in front of his “fans”

thats worse than the Philly fans booing Santa Clause imo

shameful

Tell him not to throw a Punt to Devin McCourty's hands with the game still in the balance and he won't get booed. It's actually quite simple.

THIS is a big reason.

With Robbie, Sam had someone he could trust to throw to.

Without him, we saw what happened.

Namath had games where he flung multiple mind-boggling interceptions like ZW yesterday.

Marino?  He rarely, if ever, deserved to be boo’d.

Marino had his share too, most gunslingers do.  Namath, Marino, Elway, Favre.  At least until, they get it into their heads to put the ball away and live to fight again later.

If Zach didn’t want to deal with getting booed, maybe he should have decided to take the check down throws instead of throwing 4 terrible interceptions that, quite literally, cost us the game.

And that is why he said that the fans should be booing. Because he knows that regardless the results are what is judged and by making that statement he knows he must play better to avoid those boos.

I don’t know man.

The one “thing” I remember about Marino was that he used to throw a lot of TD passes from inside the 3.  Granted, there were a couple of years when Sammie Smith fumbled at the goal line…

but it felt like stat padding on Marino’s part.

You might be right about stat padding.  One thing, he never stopped chucking it no matter the score.

Thats why I LOVED his 62-7 playoff loss to the Jags!

This game was, to use other analogies, Zach psyched out of his mind to play his first home game and getting to bat 4 times and swinging for the fences and striking out 3 times swinging and the 4 time looking, then going out and having a throwing error and a dropped a pop fly.  A real sh*tbag of a game, one that compounded on itself.  Now, instead of going back out there tomorrow and swinging for the fences again and hoping for that homerun every at bat, Zach gets to watch film and remember that he needs to start off as a good singles hitter before he can be a slugger.  Get coached up.  Work on his eyes, reinforce footwork.  Next week, everybody going effing bonkers about this will have something completely unrelated to this to be able to freak out about.  It'll be great.

hopefully so.  the thing is the only way for wilson to become good is to play.  and if it takes a few games like sunday's to get him good so be it.  we want a guy to be the qb for the next 10 seasons.  the first two games are meaningless.

Yep. And hitting singles will bring in the outfield some which will open up the deep shots.

When the ******* scumbag owners start listening to the fanbase... It kinda is partially their fault

Well the fans are pretty spot on compared to the Jets when it comes to.... You know who and when to fire them. Not a single member of management or coach has had success after leaving us.

Last guy was Belichick, even he could see how horrible Woody was coming into the dumpster fire. Hess wasn't a good owner either until he got so old he stopped giving a damn. We can't attract talent, let alone hire them. The owner is a walking bald malignant tumor sucking everything successful from the team.

We are in a really rough spot right now. Woody is the real GM and he listens to idiots in the media who think they know everything.  Big reason why we dumped Sam in favor of another QB in an insanely overrated draft class

If you don't want to get booed, don't throw four interceptions in a loss. Thats really all there is to it. Jet fans aren't any more unfair than fans of other teams. They've just suffered brutal seasons for 9 of the last 10 years.

Go put on a banger and beat Denver, and the fans will be hyped and ready to cheer for a win against Tennessee.

Schotty and Urban aren't making Trevor look too great... And he's supposed to be THE Trevor Lawrence... He also somehow made Russell Wilson look bad and got fired.

Bowles has Tom Brady making the defenses job easy and his buddy Bruce at HC.

Robby Anderson’s stat line tonight:  1 catch (2 targets), 8 yards.

Wilson better have thick skin. This isn't BYU, this is the NYC market and, the way things are trending now, this team is going to be hearing a lot of booing this season (what else is new).

BYU Football in Utah is extremely big... Most popular sport... Tons of media... He will be OK... If anything BYU prepared him for NYC

You know, when you really think about it, Provo, Utah and New York City are basically the same place.

Only reason Zach won’t be booed this Sunday Is it’s an away game

How about if it were the next home game and he plays well?

Or because after one horrible game, being a rookie and all its stupid?

Anyone who thought there wouldnt be growing pains should just get fed up and go home
