RIP Savage69

Wow, that's so tough to hear.  It's kind of surreal to think how long many around here have known each other, even if only entirely virtually in many cases, but never quite feeling like that.

It's a perspective that's easily lost and you feel like we'll all be around here to discuss, argue, and of course bust on each other for good measure, as long as we all want to.  He most definitely will be missed, and I think it's already clearly been shown here, not forgotten.

I hear what you are saying and the Jets winning it all is the goal. But along the way the cool part for me has been finding so many Jets fans to share the journey with. Savage lead that charge and we will fight on until we get there. He wouldn't want it any other way.

Rest in Peace Savage.  A Jets message board original, guy lived life for sure. His stories were legend, and his "Curtis Martin is a compiler" stance never got old; he had the delivery down pat.

Easy way to honor Sav's memory/legacy: A "Can You Top This" contest where we try to find a hotter avatar than Sav's.  Put @Jetsfan80 in charge.  lol

Such sad news. Guy was a passionate poster, but always kept it civil, didn't take things personally (not with me anyway ).

As others have said, i remember him from way back in the JI days ... every thread that mentioned Chris Martin, you just sat back and waited for him to show up.

Hey Steve good to see you back, the funny thing about Savage was you couldn't miss him in Miami he wore that white Jets Jersey with Savage and the #69 on it. He was built like a brick sh!thouse too not the kind of a guy that anyone would start something with-regardless of where the Jets were playing
