Popular Post AFJF
One of the earliest posters I interacted with back in the old JI days. Met him before a Dolphins game a million years ago at what I believe was Doug Jolly's only big game as a Jet. RIP Savage.
Popular Post Biggs
Loved Savage. One of the few on the board who went to the Polo Grounds in the Titans innagural season and followed the team through thick and very thin through his entire life. Say hello to Winston if you happen to run into him. RIP 6

Christy canyon a famous porn star was one of his dancers. Well the mob started to monopolized the gogo bar industry back then and John pissed them off (he told me this story and still had business cards) lol so that was his secret covert mountain retreat in the ct wilderness when they were looking for him. 5

That's great!!!! People outside NY/NJ can't understand that stuff. Late 70's, I was a kid, teenager, on LI working in an Italian pork store. The apron company started to do a "poor job" and my boss fired them. After about a month of a new company, the rep for the new company came in, almost trembling. He stated that he was "told" in no uncertain terms that he could NOT service the account and to tell you "my boss" that no one could except the original guy.

That was before we even got to our seats, lol. 2

Will miss his contributions to this board. Learned a lot about the game just from reading his posts in the early 2000s on JI, and hated his avatar when trying to scan JI during my high school and college internships/jobs. Separately, my wife and I were in Ft. Lauderdale on 1/1/17 at a sports bar for brunch watching the Jets beat the Bills. I'm a Jets fan, she's a Pats fan. There were no other pats fans at the place, but there was a group of 4/5 Jets fans at the table right beside ours. By Q3/Q4, the Jets were up 20-3 in a throwaway season while the Pats-Dolphins was a 1 score game with playoff implications. I remember for the first time in my life seeing Jets fans rooting for the Patriots. It absolutely blew my mind. It dawned on me after a few mins that for older fans such as the table next to us, the dolphins were the original hated rivals, and a lot of older Jets fans still hate them more than the Pats. I don't mean to make this about me, but I genuinely wonder now whether that group was you and/or Savage. Would be an amazing coincidence if so, and weirdly I'd be happy that I indirectly and unknowingly watched a game with the guy. 1

The last two games I went to with savage was 11/16 in Miami and 2017 in Tampa. But, I remember in January 2008 there were jet fans rooting for the pats to beat the Giants in the super bowl, that’s insane. We play the giants every 4 years, they’re a nothingburger. I hate the Patriots more than any other franchise in any other sport. As should every jets fan.

Popular Post NIGHT STALKER
John Savage and I met decades ago...when the internet first got started. We belonged to a forum called the Green House which is now long gone. John only had one jersey because he refused to invest in players that would be gone in a flash. So, he had a jersey made up with his name...SAVAGE and with typical John Savage humor, the number 69. We met several times over the years whether in Jersey or in Miami. He bled green through and through. I could tell you stories of John from his younger years that would blow you away...when he was in this twenties, he owned a night club in NYC and the things he would tell me about those times would have you shaking your head...lol. I rarely post anymore...just a sign of old age I guess and I leave it to you younger guys to battle it out. RIP John...save a place for me in that stadium in the sky along with other Jet fans that have passed on. The pic attached is from a Green House tailgate about 21 years go. That's Savage with the white beard... 11 6
