AVT had a huge game

In rewatching the game, you see the natural size and athleticism he has.

As a former G back in HS, I recognize & appreciate the difficulty of blocking a LB on the 2nd level when you have to sprint to seal on the backside of the play. AVT was so fluid and hit those blocks just as Carter/Johnson made the back/up the field cut. We got a PLAYER in AVT.

Random but how good is Linderbaum? And how high do you think he’s gonna go?

Very good.  Very, very good.    He’s athletic, smart, tough and probably the best technician Iowa has had on the IOL in 15-20 years.

On top of that, basically runs the same system Jets currently run.  He could step in from day 1 and handle the protection calls.

I wouldn’t be surprised one but if he goes top 20 if he keeps putting out film like he has the first 3 weeks.

Good game from AVT. Definitely flashed his talent.

Now if we can just find a stud center, that line will take a huge leap forward.

If Becton can come back and get back to his rookie form.....Re-sign Moses to play RT...and draft a stud Center.....we'd be well on our way to a repaired OL

Excellent reps by AVT - love to see it.

More evidence of Van Roten stinking up the joint. Is Clarke out for the season?

I really think that, before year end, the Jets should be:

1-Trying Edoga at RG.

2-Trying Ross P at RG

3-Trying Fant at RG when Becton comes back.

4-Trading for a RG.

Otherwise, the season could get ugly.  We will end up 0-3, not 1-2, because of the OL.

Is he slightly undersized?

I agree Van Roten is trash but Ross Perot is dead, dude.

He’s a bit undersized from a weight standpoint, but he plays at the weight Iowa asks him to.  He’s listed at 290, which I’d say is pretty accurate, but I don’t think he’d have any trouble at all adding 10bs of good weight by combine time and coming in at 6’2” 300lbs which is a pretty common center weight.

:-k seems to be a pattern emerging above...
