Count Von Count trolls Zach Wilson on behalf of the New England Patriots
The New York Jets hosted the New England Patriots in Week 2 for their much-anticipated home opener. Little went the way of Gang Green, and the team would succumb 25-6 to their division rival.

Zach Wilson looked especially inexperienced—throwing for four interceptions—and the New England Patriots social media team isn’t going to let it be forgotten anytime soon.

Posted from their Twitter account was a clip of Count Von Count from Sesame Street, executing his infamous “number of the day” segment. Only this time, that number would resemble something far more nefarious for Jets’ fans—the number of interceptions Wilson threw in their Week 2 matchup.

For any Jets fan, this video will sting. The matchup against the Patriots saw a plummet of hope from their opening drive, as a clear fumble by Kendrick Bourne was negated by the runner’s momentum having been stopped.

From there, things only seemed to get worse. Wilson threw two interceptions with his first two passing attempts of the game. It got so bad for the rookie quarterback at one point, that he had the same number of interceptions (four) as total completions.

It was clear Wilson was trying to force plays in an attempt to generate momentum, and it just didn’t work out. Wilson would finish Week 2 going 19 of 33 for 210 yards, zero touchdowns and four interceptions.

Despite the bad loss, there were many positives to take away from the game.

The offensive line played much better, the running game looked much better than the previous week, and the defense played well despite fielding predominantly inexperienced players while also dealing with poor field position.

Even with Wilson’s struggles, Mac Jones didn’t stand out in an explosive way—as Wilson actually ended the game with a higher depth of target per passing attempt. But Jones was incredibly efficient and made quicker decisions in the underneath game.

Jets X-Factor Membership

For now, Zach Wilson and the Jets continue to be the butt of jokes around the league. But this team has shown resilience early, led and echoed by head coach Robert Saleh.

The Jets will look to return the favor to Bill Belichick and the Patriots—as Gang Green will travel to Foxboro on Oct. 24—with the taste of revenge in their mouth.

Their QB is average 3 air yards per pass attempt. I’m sure that’ll be enough to beat Mahomes in the playoffs

Zach needs to show up versus the Broncos. I am not bent out of shape for a bad game. He will rebound and I truly believe that he will be a good QB in this league.

I'm not sure that is the comeback to use when the Jets are looking at fighting the jaguars for #OA again

Listen, I can always acknowledge a good job of trolling. This is really weak execution.

Jet fans troll the Jets better than this.

Belicheck press confrences are more entertaining and less awkward.

The premise was better than the execution.

Classy move.....what do you expect from a team run by Kraft and Bellicheat?

I don't believe Belicheat signed off on this.  Not his style to give an opponent any advantage, especially bulletin board material for the rematch.  Guaranteed he reamed some media dope out for this.

Agreed. He sat Wes during the 2010 divisional round for a quarter or two because Wes went on a radio show and made fun of Rex’s love for feet.
