Being ranked the one of the worst RGs in the league is far away for being competent, maybe he should play faster and don't get blown off the ball every other play.

In only 3 games this year you can make a compilation on plays that your "competent" RG is getting demolished, maybe watch some film and get your standards up my guy. 

As a veteran and one that is playing like hot garbage he should know better than put your young QB in this position.

his FIRST comment is about Zach…order of criticism means things. Most people begin a criticism of someone or something with the most egregious thing at the front before their believed less important issues. 
 

if he started the talk with ‘WE as an OL SUCK and can’t hold a block for more than 1.5 seconds or keep free runners from killing him’ before criticizing Wilson…I might understand the people saying it was out of context.

The ‘message’ is not for Van Roten to deliver to the press…especially not when his own play has been downright awful.

The sharks want a RG who can hold a block for 3 seconds.   But I'd take 1.5 seconds for now because that would be a > 300% improvement over what GVR gives.

And maybe GVR could protect that extra  tenth of a second, make it a second more and ZW being a tenth of a second slow would make a difference to the play?

GVR's quote was taken out of context by Connor Hughes, who is becoming more and more of a d*ck. 

He said he's got to get the ball out quicker and the O-Line has to do a better job of protecting him. He wasn't putting it all on Zach.

With that said, GVR needs to play a lot better. He's been bad.
