I have nothing wrong with what Quinnen said, but certainly take issue with McGovern and Van Rotten. They’re adults though, first time is on them, if they do it again then that’s on Saleh, at least for me.

With Quinnen I don’t love we don’t care about what the fans think stuff. I also think it’s somewhat revealing that Fatukasi was voted captain over him.

No, Suckers buy PSL's, season tickets and merchandise.  Stop doing that and the owners sell because they lose money.  As long as people pack the stands for anything, they couldn't care less.

You do realize that a majority of a teams profit comes from the absurd TV contracts ?

I love how Jets fans are mad at Quinnen Williams and Mike Lafleur

the real reason we aren’t winning more than 2 games this year is JD decided to give up on Sam rather than try to build a competitive roster

I suspect both Saleh and Lefleur were a big part of that decision.

“I’m saying people that have got negative stuff to say about [quarterback] Zach [Wilson] and the team, we’re not listening to it,” he said. “Because if you listen to the negative things, you can eventually believe in those negative things and you can eventually go into a tank about those negative things. So for me, for the team, and for Zach, we aren’t listening to the negative s--t that’s being said.”

“You’ve got to ignore people who are not next to you, ignore people who are not battling with you,” Williams said. “Only worry about people who come to work every single day and believe in you. But people in the media and people who have got stuff to say on social media, nobody really cares what they say and you shouldn’t care what they say.

“Everybody with a negative comment about Zach, nobody wants to hear that s--t. Basically, that’s how I feel. If you have a negative comment about Zach, I don’t want to hear that s--t. I’m going to tell him: ‘Ignore it.’ Like coach [Robert] Saleh always says: ‘Ignore the elevator music.’”

Williams is 1000% right in these comments.  He, Zack, the team, the Staff, should NOT be listening to fans.

Is this really a comment people are angry about?  Wow.  I think some of you just might have a materially overinflated sense of your importance.

Nobody should listen to the fans.  The fans should be pissed on by the players, management and ownership.  The fans should be fed maggots and like it.

you call this forum "rooting for" the team?

I think Mr. Williams says, "with fans like these..."

And, please, you'd never stay away because this is your life: love/hating the Jets.

Yes diehard longtime resilient fans who are still NY Jets fans after all the failure.

Want fans to say nice things play better win some games.

If you think the players should actually, legitimately, actively care about what you or others say in the media or on the internet, you're quite mistaken.  Why would we want players distracted by that?

What exactly do you want them to do?  You want Williams to cry for you?  To boo hoo, "oh, the Fans are right, we suck, we should just give up....".

I mean really, what is your expectations here?  Do you think players will play harder or better because fans aren't happy?

I love the idea that the players didnt actually know that fans wanted them to play harder, smarter, etc and to win more games.

Talk about a ah, ha moment.  QW should send thank you cards out.

The NFL entire structure and profit along with player pay is based on fans.

That doesn't mean they need to care, work hard, put on a good show or generally give a sh*t what the fans think or say.

My expectations is to get a mildly entertaining competitive game once a month.  If they give me that I will go to an occassional game, pay for parking watch the incessant adds on TV, occassionally buy the crap they sell and otherwise be a good little fan for life.

None of this post has anything whatsoever to do with Players listening to Fans on the Internet complaining and being negative.

Again, QW is 100% right.  There is no reason for players, mid-season, to be paying attention to Fans complaints.

What, do you think if they did, they'd play harder/better?  You think your words on the internet have that kind of power, lol?

The same players who are all over social media using fans to try and put negiotating pressure on GM's.

It's a different world Warfish.  You and I are dinosaurs.  Onfortunately the players and the fans are in communication, by their own design.  The players use the fans all the time.  So do their agents, attorneys and PR firms.

This black and white position based on the 1950's is simply nonsense.

Q had an option to keep his mouth shut.  I have no issue with what he said but the fact is he was sending a message to fans.  He obviously cares.

The joewilly12 signature after posts  is a joke.

Celebrating a sack when you're lossing is a sign of a guy who doesn't care about winning.  That doesn't mean he can't be a part of a winning team.  I support the Jets having a team full of talented players who get paid to play their position.  I want the coaches to put them in position to help the team win.  Their individual stupidity that they choose to display doesn't matter.

This culture BS that coaches are trying to sell us is all about avoiding the reality of todays players.  Coach's have to motivate them and put them in position to use their talent to win matchups and win games.  The coaches who can't do that are obssessed with culture.  The coaches who can do it put a competitive product on the field and tend to win games.

In all seriousness, I don't see a lack of effort from the players so far. They're playing hard. They're just not a very good team right now.

We called these rainbow cookies.  Other than a young Claudia Cardinale, maybe my favorite Italian treat.  My Mom worked at an Italian bakery.  So we'd get all those great cookies and pastries.

Ball doesn't lie. The players know that GVR and McGovern aren't NFL caliber starters. But 100% this is where a HC needs to step in. Hopefully he does something about it, even if it's just behind the scenes.

That would be because I see more than just sacks when I watch a DL play.

And realize he missed all of camp with an injury yet still is playing hard and well.

You want to rip apart a sack and what you think is an over celebration

Oh absolutely.  They win just by buying into the club.  It's the PSL's, season tickets, and merchandise sales that keep them rolling in it so they don't even have to pretend to care.

Makes me miss Gastineau's understated professionalism when he got a sack if they were down big.

I understand being upset at the season so far. But then, if you use any objective deliberation, you realize, it's going to get better. So, why act like it's the worst thing ever for a team IN ITS FIRST YEAR UNDER A NEW COACH, to be 0-3?

Have Jets fans never experienced a rebuild before? As Parcells said, "act like you've been here before..." even if you haven't.

What's infinitely worse than 0-3 is Jets fans acting like the record should be 3-0. You have to be smarter and more stout of heart than the insipid whining and bitching about a meaningless record and the fledgling struggles of a team's first EVER three games. I know it's pretty much all you know how to do, but, give optimism a chance.

It cant get any worse can it.

Been around a longtime seen the good bad and mostly ugly.

Some in person sat out every game during the 1-15 season and stayed until the clock read 00:00.

Even teams that bad played better than this team has the last few years.

Players like QW can careless they get paid win or lose.

Do you think they care what fans paid for a PSL,game ticket, parking or a hot dog.

They have one job play the damn game you are getting paid for.

QW is a young good player like a few others more frustrated then we are  they are on a bad team it happens.

Hoping for better days for the NY Jets and its fans.

If I were a player, say I was Jamal Adams. You think I need or want the typical "I hate Jamal Adams" fan 'rooting' for him?

And, really, the player is only affiliated with present Jets team, not the one from 1992 or 2019 for that matter. They don't give a sh!t about what you've endured. I know I don't and I've endured the same team's performance. And you "diehard" fans are the ones that keep players from wanting to come to the Jets. Who would want to play for a team with fans that are so bitter and NEVER positive? I know that as a black athlete, the Jets are not at the top of the list for desirable locations.

Winning changes everything remember nobody likes a loser except us NY Jets fans.

The fan base is bitter and scorned because of what the organization has put them through.

And what does that mean?  That they don’t care about the losses and want to win?  I bet he wants to win more tha we do. Not many players are like MW who take the money and run, most want to win
