rangerous Posted September 28, 2021 Share Posted September 28, 2021 yep, this is one of the plays i don't have a clue about. is there something more? does one or more of those guys break and run upfield? one thing is that had wilson thrown the ball quickly it should've been a reception but then the receiver would have to fight for the first down yardage. I think the idea of the play was try to cross routes and confuse defenders so somebody gets free for the first down because that would leave the confused defender right around the first down marker. If so the execution is lousy because they don't cross tight enough to cause defenders to knock into each other or get confused. The free rusher doesn't help, either.
