  1. 1. What happened (Mims)?

    • Denzel Mims was an Adam Gasese draft pick and doesn't fit our current offense
      15
    • Jets recognized personal character flaws in him
      27
    • Jets underestimated how good Keelan Cole is making Mims expendable
      1
    • Jets overcompensate being so thin at wide receiver in years past and now have too many wide receivers with equal talent
      6
    • Simply tough luck with Mims getting food poisoning and it truly affected him, has been playing catch-up ever since

    • Wr other than Denzel Mims will be traded at the deadline opening up playing time

    • Denzel Mims emerges once and inevitable injury occurs and he gets his chance

With the 48th pick in the 2nd round of the 2020 draft, the New York Jets select:

The pick has been traded to the Seattle Seahawks.

With the 48th, 49th, 50th, 51st, 52nd, 53rd, 54th, 55th, 56th, 57th, and 58th pick in the 2nd round of the 2020 draft, nobody selects Denzel Mims.

JD wasn't playing 4D chess. He passed on Denzel Mims for a reason. Was Mims a value at 59, but not a value at 48? Which WR or other player did he have in mind when he passed on Mims at 48?
