Darnold finally has a sub par game with an offensive line resembling our from week 1 and haters are thumping their chests.  Pathetic.

He's clearly better than Zach Bass at this point so the insults look silly.

This offense sucks and to say we wouldn't be better with Darnold and the picks from a trade down is not dealing with reality.

Now of course this can all change but we've had a decent sample size of Wilson and so far there's been a handful of awesome plays in a sea of awfulness.

He's supposed to be better than Zach. He has 43 career starts under his belt.

Zach's first 5 games as a pro with a kiddie roster is a "decent sample size?" Not sure about that one.

Yea  - not your best effort.

What game did you watch. He was sacked 3 times, hit 11 other times, and was pressured countless other times. That's not an excuse. That's a fact.

Hit 11 times?  Did you count them yourself or are you getting that info somewhere else?

Hurts was hit a bunch too.  He didn't throw 3 picks or lose the game.

Maybe if Darnold could make a pre-snap read to save his life he wouldn't get hit so much.  Just a thought.  QBs have a part to play in the # of times they get hit, after all.  And suddenly Mr. Running QB who had a bunch of running TD's the first few games only ran for 10 yards on 2 carries today.  What gives there?  Why not use your legs more if you're Darnold?

He's had 30+ sub-par games in his career yet Darnold bros still talk about him like he's a rookie who can't be properly evaluated.  And here comes another defender with the OL excuse!  Like clockwork.

Pathetic.

5 games is a decent sample size for an NFL career now. You learn something new everyday

TBH Christopher Johnson is a really really nice guy.

lmao.  Robby's thinking right now:  "Why did we ever get rid of Bridgewater?"

It was such a frustrating finish for everyone in Bank of America Stadium — except for the thousands of Eagle fans — that it had Anderson angrily screaming on the sideline after one of the times Darnold misfired his way. (Darnold wouldn’t comment on Anderson’s sideline screams; Anderson wasn’t available for comment after the game).

And that's exactly why we lost today.

Because ignorant, hating, scapegoating fans move the Johnson's needle and make them do stupid things like create a 3rd rebuild in the middle of the 2nd rebuild.

SAR I

No team rebuilds with a coach who is merely keeping the chair warm for the next coach.  Never. Ever.

Really?  Sam Darnold went 6-2 after the "ghosts" game, Adam Gase coached the kid way the hell up.  And his WR's and DB's were all 3rd and 4th stringers, remember?

I'm not defending Gase and Darnold, I'm not saying they were going to win divisions and playoff games here.  I'm merely saying that we are in a rebuild and there is a right time to throw the Hail Mary on switching out the HC and the QB and we did it at the wrong time.  We should have kept those two guys for another year or two, let them keep the locker room together, let them motivate the young guys, let them keep some stability around here, let them win some games and make the youngsters feel proud.  What's going on now is a complete mess, things haven't ever been this bad and I saw every Rich Kotite game.

SAR I

But you are defending Gase.  You never stop.  And you keep brining up the 7-9 2019 season as if the 2-14 disaster that was 2020 never happened.  Nobody  - and I mean nobody - thought Gase was leading the Jets to anything other than losing football after the 2019 season. So enough with that already. The 7 wins in 2019 were a mirage, not an accomplishment.  Since 2010, so many Jets fans have been happy with seasons like 2019, and winning 10 games and missing the playoffs in 2015 and winning 3 of the last 4 to go 8-8 in 2013. All seasons like that do are delay the inevitable firing of bad coaches - from Ryan to Bowles to Gase.  I lived through the 70s and 80s and 90s and 00s and making the playoffs as a wild card is nice, but I want more. The only way to get more is absolutely NOT with a coach like Gase and a QB like Darnold.  Period. Many people on this board are like the subjects in the Stanford delayed gratification child psychology experiment where a child is told they can have one marshmallow now or 2 later. Those that were mature enough to wait for two had better life outcomes. You and otherJets fans need to stop settling for  1 marshmallow.

Right idea wrong player, Jamar Chase Darnold AVT and Asante Samuel JR instead of Moore.

Agree with the first sentence.  Darnold is not a smart QB so I disagree with the rest.  The only argument for not drafting Zach is trading Darnold, trading out of 2 and hope to land Fields or Mac or possibly Lance and signing a vet.

In hindsight the only given is that Darnold isn't smart and Zach to date is in over his head.

Sam Darnold sucks. we win nothing with him. you say Pitts and Darnold would win us more games? Sam has Robbie, DJ Moore and Marshall as his WRs. but he is 0-3 without the 2nd best RB in the NFL.

and i know everybody is loving Pitts atm but he was pretty quiet with a QB 1000 times better than Sam will ever be until they played us. but with Sam he would find that magic earlier? ..you guys are a joke.
