We are on a rebuild - next year if we are 1-4 it will be time to scream - and the panthers may always be just good enough to be interesting - do you see them going super bowl? with Sam? We should get a good pick this draft; if it is good enough, we might even be able to trade down for a fortune - the team should know the scheme next year and we will be able to draft and sign some big players. jeremy2020 Posted October 10, 2021 Share Posted October 10, 2021 Danrold is the epitome of the QB that can win the games you're supposed to win with a supporting cast, but when you need him to step up and put the team on his back... he breaks down. Mayfield is another one. When they have that defense humming and the run game going, he's fine, but then he's got to make throws to win and it starts to fall apart. These are the middle of the pack QBs who hold teams back from going and getting a top ten QB because "you can win with them" which ends up being a nightmare because if the pinnacle is fighting for the playoffs every year and maybe getting in 50/50 is better than horrible losing, but not great either. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The deciding factor will be who is the better value at Franchise QB, when you actually have to pay them. But in 2021, as we can see, the Panthers’ roster is further along than the Jets’.
