This is where coaches can get in trouble now, you can’t be loyal to a fault anymore.  It’s harder to navigate the QB position now.  If you have a guy on the bench that you know is better but don’t feel he’s necessarily ready at the moment , you run the risk of that kid getting frustrated and leaving.  In this case, I think you have to start AR now, commit to him and use the rest of the season to get him ready for 2022.

If for some reason AR wants out, I’ll personally drive to Gainesville and give him a ride to Clemson if he wants.

100%.  The season is over, all you can do is play spoiler, so get the kid ready for next year and let Emory Jones be the QB who enters the transfer portal.

No  Absolutely not.  Give Emory Jones one more game to try to prove he can play the position at a high level against an elite defense.  Start AR in November.  Leave Emory for one more game.  He almost led you to an upset of #1 ranked Bama.  He deserves one more shot to beat a #1 team.  Give him that chance on the 30th.  You want to ease AR in against South Carolina, Samford, Mizzou and FSU.  Now is not the time for AR yet.

This is a completely neutral and unbiased observation.

The sad and unfortunate truth, is this is probably exactly what Mullen is thinking just sprinkle in somewhere Emory Jones deserves getting potentially his only chance to start vs. Georgia since he's been loyal to the program.

Wow.  From Natty to out of a job in less than two seasons.

Recent history has shown that the grass is not always greener for some of these teams that get rid of a guy after a few down seasons and then totally crater with the next guy they bring in.
