Darnold regressing, throws INT on first play (Frankie Luvu blocks punt, Herndon catches TD. Oh my this MIN-CAR Game!)

You guys are hysterical..  Darnold is fine.  I've seen like 4 drops in last 5 passes.   Meanwhile we currently have the worst qb in the league.

i remember Sam had alot of drops last year and we blamed it on the backup WRs. maybe its a Sam thing.

Sam being terrible in Carolina is good news for the Robbie Andersen cult because #11 is also trash - but is flying under the radar.

Anderson would be OK with a decent deep ball thrower.  But that's not Darnold, who is the worst deep ball thrower in the NFL.

Those who rushed out to draft Robby in fantasy should have listened to me.

It's easy to see why Darnold is still beloved by a lot in the NFL. He's still behind for being a 4th year QB, but shows magic every once in a while.

He does just enough to make you believe in him.  Plays well in 4 out of 16 games.  Makes one or two great throws every 20 or so.  Hence why Rhule traded for him.

But in year 4, obviously you can't bank your hopes on that.  He's a veteran NFL QB now.  He's not a kid.  But you still have defenders treating him like one.

In exactly which universe is 17/41, 207 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 1 fumble "fine" in a QB's 4th season?

All 24 of those incompletions by Darnold were drops, eh?

Yeah he's always been missing consistency. The flashes are great but he's not a rookie anymore, and still has a problem with playing half games. My opinion changes when he has a complete, signature game against a good defense. It'll also be swayed if I see him carry the panthers to victory more often. Be it through elevation, or clutch moments.

Exactly

Look at how happy the apologists are in here because of one drive....as if it washes away a 3+ years body of work ?‍♂️

Right.  Those are things you expect to happen for a 4th-year starting QB and he'll never do it enough to give anybody actual hope.

Drops have been an issue, but I've also seen a dreadful pick by him dropped too. It goes both ways today.

Yup.  Every QB has receivers drop passes.  Some operate as if Darnold is the only one victimized by this.

Those same people were talking about how good Darnold looked with these same receivers just a few weeks ago.  "See guys, THIS is how you build around a QB!!!!"
