Don't get me wrong, I would love to see them win the game on Sunday, but I would need to see them string together a few good competitive games (not necessarily all wins) in order to begin to believe we are on the right track. If he goes for 300+ and the Jets put up 30 points - and he looks solid (even if not spectacular) I will feel very good about this team going forward. I'm talking about Zach Wilson improving on high percentage passes, throwing the ball away, avoiding bad sacks, and showing general progress from games 1 through 4. I'm talking about the defense getting off the field with forced fumbles or interceptions. The whole shebang. I think we'll be a 2 small steps forward, 1 step back kinda team...But as long as we're seeing progress from the 1st and 2nd year guys and specifically our QB I'll be satisfied. It depends on how competent the offense performs including ZW. I’m going to be a homer and predict the Jets win this game. The Pats aren’t great, Mac Jones is already playing close to his potential, and the Jets Oline is playing much better than the first game. It all comes down to whether LaFleur has learned enough in play calling and the offense executes the plays better. So far this season, they have played two solid halves, out of ten. Will take more than a single game for me to believe that they may be turning a corner. But you are right, it does not have to be 3 or 4 strung together.
