CJ Mosley

Jets head coach Robert Saleh met with the media today and said the team could be without linebacker CJ Mosley on Sunday.  One of the team’s top players thus far, Mosley has a balky hamstring.

Robert Saleh says LB C.J. Mosley won’t practice today with a hamstring issue and is day to day. Saleh hopeful for Mosley’s chances to play Sunday at New England. #Jets

Jets fans most certainly cringed after hearing the news, given the fact that Mosley has essentially missed two full seasons.  Finally having an impact, the linebacker’s status is up in the air.

Should Mosley have to sit, expect to see linebacker Noah Dawkins, who had a solid pre-season with the Jets and has been on the team’s practice squad since the start of the season.  The Jets will also be without linebacker Jarrad Davis who was expected to return this week.

The absence of Davis will mean another start for Quincy Willlams.  It was previously unkown as to how Williams and Davis would share reps.  Williams has been a force over the past three weeks, picking up 26 tackles (4 for loss), 2 QB hits, a sack and 3 forced fumbles.

Both Mosley and Davis out. This is not good news.

If NE can establish the run game it'll open up play action and Jones will pick the Jets apart unless Quincy Willlams has a monster game stopping the run and the offense can put together a few long scoring drives.

Jets 13* - NE 31

*TD pass will be during garbage time

Only the Jets could have a guy pull a hammy on a bye week.

Mosley spent the bye week watching Sunday Ticket and seeing how real NFL teams look and he decided to 'pull' his hamstring and collect his outrageous salary w/o risking a real injury.

Joe’s about to flush the toilet on this season and he’s not going to let Maye or Mosely play the ol’ hamstring card for the next three months. If he can chuck them, he’s going to chuck them and then blame the 3-14 on being a young team.

Ugh I don’t  want to believe that’s true, but yeah Mosley probably wants out.

Yep.

After seeing Maye decided to sit out until the trade deadline, my first post was Mosely would be the next vet on the Jets to make a business decision.

Naturally it got downvotes, but yet here we are…
