I really want Joe Douglas to be the right guy to lead this franchise out of the abyss. But we are so bad, once again. It's hard to take.

The vote of confidence speech after only 6 games, that could be a record for this franchise.

What do you expect him to say?  "This coaching staff is horrifically bad, starting with Saleh and LeFleur and I'm still an imbecile when it comes to making decisions for this team."

You thought Woody would trash them in public?

Really?  When has this ever happened, anywhere?  And if so did it turn things around?

Shocking

Especially given he had nothing to do with the decision to hire Saleh.

More then this last Sunday was "frustrating" with a smirk.

Call games like that unacceptable. Say I will ask more from my team. You dont gotta throw em under the bus but you can communicate to your staff and fans you are not happy.

This was tone deaf

What a disaster......

Were gonna blame this year on zach wilsons tender age of 22.   Thats the bill of goods the front office is feeding ownership

Thats their plan......the fan base will turn the heat on Woody once he starts hearing the boos in Metlife and getting cursed out when he ventures into tail gate land.

Imagine if that 54-13 game was at Metlife? The fans may of taken the stadium by force.

Its clear that Wood didnt watch Sundays game.

Of course not.  It's Sunday.  That's when Woody sits down with cook and some other key mansion staff to plan out weekly menus, select and/or approve bed linen purchases, etc.

Actually - yes - that would have been a perfect answer and a good start.

And add to that as long as the jackasses continue to renew their season tickets - i have guaranteed income so it really does not matter. And yes, I am one of those jackasses.

My hope is when I have to meet St Peter at the gates - I open with I am a Jet fan and he asks no other questions. I get in just on that fact and pity on my soul.

Where did I say anything like that in my original post?

Saleh may still turn out to be a good head coach in time, but i believe the real telling  moment for Saleh will be watching to see what changes he makes with this coaching staff after the season.  Does he stay loyal to his buddies from his previous coaching stops or does he see his ass in the frying pan here and he needs to make big boy decisions that may not be popular with his friends but brings tangible results to the football field?  We crushed Macaganan for not letting Rhule pick his coaches but maybe Joe Douglas should have given some more input on Saleh's staff.  LeFleur is clearly not ready yet and there are too many first time coaches who are learning on the job.  Need a few gray haired guys to help this staff.  people who can get in Saleh's ear and help shorten the learning curve.

I also believe Woody and Chris Johnson are too easy going and want to be "one of the guys" around the team.  I wish they had a little more George Steinbrenner mentality to them and were as pissed off, ashamed, and embarrassed as most Jets fans were after that performance on Sunday.  Instead we get the corporate bull sh_t line of...  its a process, we see improvements, we had a good week of practice, guys are doing all the hard work in the classroom, ect   That Pats game was already lost before the kickoff
