This team looks terrible with a bunch of young guys running around like chickens with their heads cut off. It’s basically what the coaching staff said would happen. I don’t think they thought it’d be this bad but we were more or less warned there would be growing pains and there absolutely have been. With young guys on the field there’s at least a hope it gets better.

Gase’s teams looked terrible with AARP members running around looking like I’d set the game to play at .75x speed.

@TomShane you know this was stolen from me-

No need to apologize to Adam he was the Martyr. He changed the entire direction of this team single-handedly, and got no love while he was here working his God-like magic!

I had Adam Gase' back right up until the moment it was walking out the door at Florham Park with a knife in it!!!

He was an absolute genius! He coached where football is going. He was a Quarterback Whisperer. Did you see the crap they gave this guy to work with!? He stood up at that podium every week and took it on the chin. Look what he gets for it!

You all should be ashamed of yourselves. The man did cocaine and ate pepperoni pizza everyday! He had an office with no windows and all he thought about was football. He was waking his coaching staff up at 4am.. what more do you want!?

You made fun of his eyes... Go look at yourselves in the mirror and point the thumb.

Adam Gase got Manish and Big Mac fired!!! Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!!

Remember that! You remember that! With your silly little Judgment.

If he was the QB Whisperer, than why did Darnold suck anyways?

Dick. The offense of the Lincoln High Railsplitters of Ypsilanti, Michigan is averaging 29 ppg while their defense—run by the ne’er-do-well younger brother of the sh*t-eating HC is giving up about 45 ppg. Know your UP Michigan high school football before you come for the king, B1TCH.

Tom, I love you as a poster, but you have to move on from

this “Gase was secretly good” narrative. To quote Peter Griffin, It’s shallow and pedantic. Gase was a loser.

Serious question. Serious question. Was Joan of Arc “good”?

You flew planes and bought billboards to oust this man, and not eight months later…

—the Jets roster, which is exponentially better than the one Gase inherited, is 2-6 and looks like ass most weeks.

—Sam Darnold is so bad in Carolina, playing for reputed geniuses Matt Rhule and Joe Brady—that he has single-handedly ruined the Panthers franchise.

—LeVeon Bell is near death on a Baltimore roster where Red Grange could average 5.0 ypc.

—Robbie Anderson is a non-person with everyone other than his weed dealer and the highway patrol.

—Jamal Adams is the worst player on the worst defense in football.

—Breshad Perriman is nine miles out of football.

—Mike Maccagnan can’t get a job sharpening pencils for Fox Sports’ version of ESPN Ocho.

—Both Matt Rhule and Mike McCarthy are clearly in a million miles over their heads.

Bottom line, everyone killed Gase for not producing results with the Jets team he inherited from the worst GM in the history of organized sports, and the fact that he recognized how bad the situation was and how he tried to move us forward—as unwilling as we were to make the necessary changes—was, indeed, heroic.

Please, issue your apologies to Adam Gase, The Martyr of Florham Park, below.

This is a convincing argument, but you forgot to also add that he had the entirety of NY sports media against him from day 1 except one or two people.

Meanwhile the current administration gets more ball washing than a greek bath house.

what are you and Sar related to Gase? you are the only 2 that like this guy.

Gase hurt himself. having Gore over Ty and Adams ... horrible play calling after the 15 scripted plays. Playing Luke Faulk and Fales over White. i wonder if he was here now if White would still be on the PS.

oh and thanks for calling this roster exponentially better than Gases. so next time to try to knock JD i can bring that up.

BTW your boy Gase went 1-7 and 0-8 in his 1st 2 half's of the season.
