The ***Official*** You know you’re going to make fun of Fields MNF thread

That TD throw was just a beauty.  Fields is doing good (even though he has similar struggles to Wilson) tonight because instead of taking check downs, he can use his legs as a secondary weapon.

I do have to say one thing, there was a throw to Robinson on a deep seam hook route (or curl, idk) that got tipped up and fell incomplete.  That's a guaranteed interception with the Jets luck.  The defender got his hand on it, and it fell between like 3 Steelers.  Fields still needs to work on those throws because he threw it late.  It ended up having a bit of 2 seam action as well, which allowed the defender to get a hand on it.

I didn't watch the whole game, but my god the officiating was horrible in that game, like they had the Steelers money line.

Fields doesn’t stand a chance. He was an irredeemable prospect from the jump. Wilson’s flaws may be ironed out or not but he was and still is a better prospect than this trash.

Fields’ legs are all that he has at this level, his pocket awareness and accuracy under pressure is as bad as any practice squad QB.

You can see why Nagy was desperate to play Dalton, he knows what he has here and knows it’s going to sink him. But every fan of every team and every talking head is blaming him while Justin Fields runs around like a headless chicken every other and play throwing up punts.

bwhahahahahahaha - radar silent after you posted this as Justin Fields went off.  lmfao

You're funny.

Honestly thought Mullen might resign, he doesnt seem interested in coaching at all.  The firings makes me think he sticks it out, which is fine, I guess.  If he pulls his head out of his ass he could make AR15 into a Heisman winner next year.

Anywho, I have no idea what this has to do with a dozen Jets fans calling Justin Fields a bust as he balls out playing on the worst offense in the NFL and should have pulled off something, what was it, 28 QB's? have tried to do an failed ie; win in Pitts on MNF.  But, the NFL is rigged so he didnt.

What a disgrace that game was.   The taunting call, the phantom chop block, and abysmal roughing QB calls and no calls really makes you wonder what’s going on with the officiating.  The NFL won’t do anything because they don’t really care, nothing seems to affect the popularity right now.

Fields is coming along nicely.  They have him under center a lot and he’s definitely become more comfortable with that.

I don't really get the Fields hate.  I liked taking Zach ahead of him but Fields has great tools and he's a very smart guy.   He could absolutely become a great NFL QB.

It all started during the draft process.  The tear down of a great prospect for all the dumbest reasons known to man that were all completely unsubstantiated and illogical.  Very reminiscent of Deshaun Watson.  People saying ridiculous things, like IJ saying he's the most overrated prospect in a decade (looks a Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson, sees where Fields was drafted, chuckles) Then you have this boards favorite blow hard moron, Chris Simms, calling him the worst prospect on the bunch and that Kellen Mond is better and just like they did when he said Zach was QB1, this board at it up as fact.  Then there are just the absolute haters, who dont like his body language or how he answers questions or his hair cut or because he transferred or because he played for OSU, etc.   And then once you go there, there is no point of return.  You double down and make ridiculous statements in the 1st quarter of a game only to look like a fool with the clock hits zero.

Neither do I.  After we lost out on Trevor I flipped flopped between Zach and Fields a LOT.  Literally changed my mind every day.  His performance against Clemson was legendary.  His last quarter last night reminded me of the player from that game.

I ended up coming down on the side of Wilson and once we drafted him I went all in but it's clear Fields could be a very good NFL QB.

It’s because in 2021 if you like one prospect in a draft you must automatically have to hate every other prospect at the same position.  It’s not possible to think that more than one QB from the same draft can be successful.  It was bizarre.   Because of that type of thinking we had some of the dumbest and most ill-informed “takes” about players.   It was obvious that a lot of people had zero idea of what they were watching and were just digging in on bad take after bad take.

That's just the world in general these days.  If you're on one side of the isle, the other side has never done anything good and your side is the only reason our country isn't communist/anarchist.

Dude he played decent. Had a good drive to go ahead though the minute they scored I knew they would lose on a FG. But it's not like he was so awesome that it validates taking him over Zach. Fields has been pretty awful in many games this season as well. Reality is we will not know for another full season at least. I said all along that all of the Top guys could succeed, but if you think he was awesome last night it is just your own confirmation bias.

Funny thread, so many posters desperately trying to be right on Fields or trying to make themselves feel better about Wilson and then he goes off and the tone completely changes in the thread.

Oh Jets fans...fun read, thanks!

Lol have you met the black kettle?

I just saw this on Youtube. Holy sh*t, that's f*cking filthy.

If that ref isn't fired, it'll be definitive proof that the league let's refs fix and manipulate games.

F*cking disgusting.

The flag wasn't thrown for hitting the ref.  It was thrown for taunting that happened just before that.
