This was a long term fix here.

Go back and look at what your projection for this team was this year.  Most understood this was a 3-5 win team - which is what they're on pace for.

I can repeat that same stuff about youth and new systems - but I know you've heard it.  But it is the truth.

heck the team went 1-3 with a 4 year practice squad QB - to me that's pretty good.

Just because you're now seeing what we all expected doesn't change anything.

Go back and look at what your projection for this team was this year.  Most understood this was a 3-5 win team - which is what they're on pace for.
I can repeat that same stuff about youth and new systems - but I know you've heard it.  But it is the truth.

No one takes over a two win team and says we need to go backwards first. Do you know how ridiculous that sounds No other NFL franchise does and says this.

All year I've read here that winning "isn't important".  Or, you need to lose for at least three years before we should expect results.  

I have no idea how or where that mentality arises.  Ah, maybe it's a modern day approach/ethic.   But can you imagine telling Lombardi that winning wasn't important and/or you were cool with the team losing for three years?   lol

What are you carrying on about?  In his very first season as HC of the NYJ, Saleh has already taken home a Snoopy Bowl title.  So don't try to sell us this "Saleh hasn't won anything" garbage.

I guess you just compared Robert Saleh to three NFL HOF head coaches.  Take a look at their resume's and who hired them.  Horrible comparison.

EXACTLY Johnny, Woody Johnson is too cheap to hire a real NFL-caliber Head Coach and too stupid to stick up for his team as week after week year after year we watch the zebras **** us over, letting late hits continue on every Jets QB and NOTHING is ever said about it by Johnson. It's important for the players and coaches to win. I don't think we've heard any of them say anything otherwise. In terms of team/franchise building (zoom out to Joe Douglas level) this is obviously a foundation building year. New coaching staff, young roster with a lot of churn due to CS change, switching from 3-4 to 4-3 and new schemes on both sides of the ball. The program is being built from the ground up. 

We haven't even played against the "easy" part of our schedule yet.

Writing off a rookie HC at this point is stupid. Proclaiming they're worse than Gase is beyond laughable.

You're right, TT2.   Plus, as @Sperm Edwards and his wife pointed out, Coach Saleh made a fashion forward statement yesterday by donning a cap.  So I guess he is making strides.

Just more excuses.  Meanwhile, this supposed defensive specialist has his unit getting blown out every week (175 points given up the last four).  You've been watching football long enough to know that it's not normal to lose games like this.   We look terrible/embarrassing on offense and defense.  That's on the HC and GM.

Averaging 44 points being given up per game. Has there ever been a worse stretch defensively speaking in the history of the NFL?

It's facts. You have to deal with the reality of the situation. Switching over to a 4-3 from a 3-4 is a big deal and our only draft support for the change was a college safety converted to LB.

The defensive performances are definitely concerning. I'd like to know WTF happened during the bye week because the defense has played far worse since then. Did the Pats just go to school on the tape and expose something the coaches can't get fixed? Something change with coaching responsibilities? Whatever it is they need to fix it.

It came down to money if I am not mistaking. He wanted in excess of 8 MPY and the Jets were unwilling to pay. That is what I recall anyway.

I agree. There was no intention of me doing anything. I dont have to pretend to be patient when commenting or judging this head coach and GM. Its ridiculous to claim another fan needs to be patient. No additional time is needed for me to know Saleh sucks. Patience wont make 4 wins this season and the worst defense in NFL history easier to deal with as a fan.

How often does that happen anymore?  I honestly can't remember the last time I heard a coach give a real answer to that question.  It's basically a script coaches follow after a loss.  "Not sure.  Gotta' go back and watch the film and make corrections".
