..we have NFL's second-weakest remaining schedule

Recommended Posts

The Jets haven’t had it easy this season, but they will.

Well, on paper anyway. That’s because Gang Green (.400) has the second-weakest remaining strength of schedule this season, per Tankathon. Only the Titans (.346) have a softer slate the rest of the way.

With a 2-7 record, the Jets have eight games left to play. Some of those games, like contests with the Buccaneers and Saints and a rematch with the Bills, will be challenging. But New York’s remaining schedule features a lot of lesser teams, too. The Jets will play the Dolphins twice, as well as the Texans, Jaguars and Eagles.

In other words, this is the part of the season where we ruin our draft position and build up false hope going into next year.

"The team really hung in there and started to gel in the 2nd half of the season!"

Remember the halcyon days when Darnold won a bunch of games with a weak schedule at the end of the season?

Ya know.. before he got f**king Mono.

F**cking Mono.

..and somehow this season is worse than that

That was after he got Mono, but yes.

Yes, being the historically worst is pretty much as low as you can go.

If there is a way to go Lower, we (the jets) will do so. We (the jets) are  That  Bad.

I now want it to go as low as possible.  To the very gates of Hades.  These idiots thought they were hearing screams from hell.  They just tied into all the angst from Jet fans over the decades permeating the cosmos.

We are the worst team in the NFL, with the worst Defence I’ve ever seen.

We aren’t winning many more games if any.

This is where I was going. We are the lowest in skill, coaching mgmt etc.. and have the second weakest remaining schedule. Fortunately, we all know how this ends. Let's start sunday. Are we at the point yet where we want to lose?

Already won as many games as last year.  Will win about 3 or 4 more.

To double or triple your wins from the previous season in year 1 of a ground up rebuild?????

Thank you Joe Douglas!  Thank you!!

Year two at the very least. We are the worst team in the league and that includes the Lions. That doesn’t mean I’m giving up on the organization just depressing.

I honestly believe the Jets, at least on defense, have bottomed.

The issue is besides 2 of the cbs the rest of the d is complete trash in coverage. The lbs are terrible and so are the safeties. Hall and mc2 have been playing well, but a slot in Guidry should not be starting in the outside. These guys can’t cover for more than a couple seconds. The opposing offenses have been bringing in extra guys to negate the only strength on the d.

In usual Jets fashion we'll win some garbage games at the end of the season to draft somewhere in the middle of the pack. That assumes the defense shows up for any of the games. If the Jets are better than the (other) bottom feeders in the rest of the schedule this could be a 7-10 team. Then we can spend the offseason arguing whether 6-7 wins against the worst of the AFC proves the team is trending in the right direction. Or the teams ends up with like four wins and we get to argue whether Saleh is better or worse than Gase.
