In Adam Gase's first year he started 1-7, which is worse than Saleh. They kept him anyways

Yes. But Adam Gase lost by a total of 117 points in his first 7 losses.

Saleh gave up 141.

And he is supposed to be a defensive head coach.

Statistically, 2-15 is unlikely. Even more unlikely when you are reminded of the NYJ annual tradition of winning meaningless games in December to compromise draft position

Also, at 2-15, he's back.

Kinda reminds me of the Cardinals season where they realized they hired a mistake. Saleh is not a HC and it's obvious. Depends on Woody's feel but right now I'd be shocked if he gets a second season.

most of those points are in 3 games, though. Take away Saleh's worst 3 defensive games and Gase's worst 3 defensive games and suddenly Gase has given up a lot more.

I get your point, however, and I see the flaws in my argument.

If we continue to perform like we have been, it would be warranted to fire Saleh after the season. But the Jets would want a proven, veteran coach if they made a move and I can’t imagine who that could be. Doug Peterson?

Just thinking out loud, this isn’t happening lol.

I would easily pass on Saleh for Doug Peterson. It's a no brainer.

It would be warranted but I dont think so.

Douglas and Saleh are a package deal at this point as well. Douglas isnt surviving a saleh firing.

They will both be back next season and likely fired after next season.

So why not get it over with now?

He's gonna be here to stay, like it or not.

I don't.  In 10 games, he's already proven that the HC position is beyond his grasp.  Clueless on and off the field.  His post game press conferences portray an incompetent dunce.

I will say that it is a considerable accomplishment to have the fan base this pissed off at his performance after half a season.

Saleh doesn’t sound like a guy who is even remotely concerned with losing his job this season.

I disagree, but we’ll find out soon enough
