Who Is the Most "Jetsy" Person/Player In Jets' History?

I was about to ask why nobody had said Woody yet, but finally it appeared

Woody might be my least favorite Jets-related person ever.  But we definitely had the "Jetsy" reputation before he got here.

OTOH, Bill Belichick couldn't run away from this franchise fast enough the moment Woody got here.  Then Al Groh used us too and Parcells also left.  Within a year of Woody getting here, the entire foundation of what was shaping up to be a terrific run completely dissipated.  So maybe Woody is a great answer after all.

Browning Nagle. Let's count the ways.

1) We took him one pick after Brett Favre. Who we had as the number one player on our board, but lost a trade-up with the Cardinals when Arizona decided they couldn't pass on DE Mike Jones. We would have taken Favre in the first round, but we took Rob Moore in the supplemental draft the year before. No word on whether we could have gotten Moore for less than a 1st.

2) As the backup 2nd round pick, Nagle "won" the starting job from Ken O'Brien when O'Brien held out in training camp. His first game, he threw for 360 yards and 2TDs. WE HAD OUR QB!

3) Except nope. No we didn't. Nagle could throw for 60 yards from a kneeling position. But he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. He had 1 year as an NFL starter, in which he completed less than 50% of his passes and threw 7 TDs against 17 INTs in 13 starts (14 games)

Definitley a final 5 for the most Jetsiest.  We were so pumped after that game in Atlanta. Kinda like Stephen Hill with a pair of TD receptions against the Bills in his first game.

Our Super Bowl winning quarterback turning up decades later a sloppy, horny drunk , on national TV and declaring that he could care less about the team.
“I wanna kiss you” was the Jetsiest moment by the Jetsiest player. It’s like fat, stoned Elvis falling off the throne.

Let’s see

Chris ward: I can’t count how many Wesley walker bombs that were called back for him holding.

Bubby Brister

Rich Kotite

Roger Vick, 1st round pick full back to block Andre tippet :rl:

Blair Thomas

Donald Dykes

Johnny Mitchell

Kyle Brady : little donavan darious knocked him out on the goal line in the playoff game against Jacksonville in 98 and luckily he went to sleep right on the ball.

Our ambassador has real life problems….. hardly that big a deal.  He has been as good an ambassador as any in the league.

Who has been better… Montana? Dawson?? All legends have some tarnish.

Gastineau.

Being Jets doesn’t mean sucking outright. It means teasing the fanbase, showing potential, then squandering it, then ultimately becoming a joke.

Its too easy to just list busts.

Gastineau was a caricature of iur fanbase before Rex. His set the bar for jetsiness.
