Robert Saleh Retaining The Jet HC Job is Irrelevant...

Mike Martz...

Jim Fassel...

Bill Callahan...

Jon Fox...

Ken Whisenhunt...

Jim Caldwell ...

Lovie Smith...

Dan Quinn...

What do all of these former HC's have in common?

None of them are Hall of Famers...

None are "genius" HC's...

Many of them we wouldn't even hire as the Jet HC today...

But they all took at least 1 team to a Super Bowl...

And how did they do that?

They all had an elite QB or an elite defense...

So Salah does not need to be Lombardi or Belichik to be a success...

He can just be OK and get the Jets to a Super Bowl...

What the Jets need is for Joe Douglas to be an "elite" GM...

Lombardi and Belichick both coached all time great HOF QBs.

I don't think any of those HCs won a Superbowl.  Surprised you didn't include Barry Switzer, btw (who did win a SB).
