His stats could be half as good and just the course of events that followed not happening regarding  the QB positions as mention by Sperm and hed still be top 3 Jet QB

With our offensive line the past few years , if Cousins came here there is a good chance he would be dead now.

Since that article:

Against Baltimore down 31-24 with just over two minutes left he drives them 75 yards. Converts a 4th and 9 before hitting Thielen in the end zone for a TD to tie the game and send it overtime. 

So in 3 of those 6 losses he kept his team in it to the death with clutch plays. His defence is absolutely abysmal and the offensive line might be worse.

Kirk's a "compiler", and not a "winner". In his entire career, he has ONE 10 win season. His career record is 56-57-2. Since being placed on a loaded Minnesota team his record is 30-27-1.

With a Cousins, you can delude yourself into believing he's the guy that can lead you to the promised land, the counting stats are nice and he has a few plays that really impress, but he repeatedly and constantly lets you down when you need him the most.

I watched the Vikings and its the team that lets themselves down a QB can't do everything. I have seen cousins have some really good late game drives ruined by bad play and bad defense. Unless Cousins is supposed to win with no time on the clock

See... that's the rub. Cousins isn't a bad QB. He's good, but he's paid as if he's an elite QB and he's just not. Giving him a massive deal ruined the Vikes.
