slimjasi
We need a reverse karma tweet from Francesa saying he's the worst young WR he's evah seen. If this happens, Wilson to Mims will be a thing
Popular Post maury77
I don't know what the hell happened to Mims this season, but with Davis out and the playoffs officially out of the question, Saleh and his staff need to give Mims as many reps as possible. They may hate him, but the guy was a second round pick for a reason and he was pretty good as a rookie. You have to see what you have in him.

Might be a good time for JD to sit the coaching staff down and have a heart-to-heart. At the very least, you play him, hope he plays well, and put him on the block if the CS really do not want him. But as of now, it serves as another wasted 2nd round pick on a WR.

mrcoops
It will be interesting to see if the Jets sign one of the PS WRs to the 53 with Davis going onto IR. If Vyncint Smith, DJ Montgomery or Keelan Doss end up playing more than Mims, that will tell us all we need to know.

They punted on the season before the season started so why wouldnt you put a guy like Mims in, give him as much run as you can and if you really hate him as a player and dont want him around, lace him on his game film, put him in his spot in front of his peers and see how he responds. There is not trade market for him anymore, so push him to the limit and see how he responds.

He has been out sick for weeks. He came back this week and got snaps. He had the big penalty on the block and didn't do anything. He is going to get more snaps with Davis out, but if he is still lost and dicking around we will probably also see Crowder, Berrios, and Cole getting more and Smith getting a few snaps here and there. It's not a ******* conspiracy. 8

No gray area. Certain things were just not tolerated. We really have zero clue on how the Jets brass communicates expectations with under performing players.

If he doesn't that is not an indication that the coaches are out to get him or that they "need to be talked to." The guy missed three weeks with an illness and played more than 1/3 of the snaps with Davis taking the bulk before he went out. He got more snaps than Berrios. 20+ snaps should be enough to show you have something. If you have anything to show.
section314
Never forget when Mike and the Dog were live at the draft in 1994, I believe. With Sapp sitting there, the crowd screaming his name, we take Kyle Brady. As the entire Jet fan base goes batsh*t, big Mike says that we just got the best player on that loaded Penn State team, we won’t believe how great he will be, and he will make us go “Warren who?” Just another in a long line of doughboy classics.?

SomebodytoAnybody47
Guys, he’s not good. And I’m his biggest supporter sadly. Look at my username! Jetsfan80
Denzel Mims is still ahead of Tyler Kroft and Tevin Coleman on the Jets' receiving leaders list this year. And despite starting 9 fewer games than him, Mims only trails Ryan Griffin by 61 yards on the season.
Ken Schroy
Mims will be somewhere else next year. He looks like he has Herndon disease. Not very interested in football. If they could trade him before the draft and get a anything for him, do it. He's worthless.

His three best games were consecutive games of 4/62, 3/71 and 4/67. I don't think your analysis is really fair. He didn't have a great rookie season, and looking back it seems even worse. OTOH, those that thought he would be good in 2021 have their reasons. He missed the first 6 with the hamstring. Then he came in and over 6 weeks was never below 40 yards. Extrapolated over a 16 game season he'd have been just under 1,000. Then he missed the Seahawk game on the exempt list with "personal reasons." He came back and didn't top 20 over the last 3, including getting shut out on 2 targets against Cleveland. I don't know what happened, but he missed that game and has sucked ever since. Before that he was producing. Maybe there is something to him being a bit of a problem child. Maybe something else happened. Looking back, 6 decent not great games, with no TDs isn't much to hang your hat on, but after the Raiders game he had been looking good and while he hadn't scored I think he had a 2 point conversion. After that it all went off the rails.

ScarletKnight89
We'll see how he looks now for the rest of the season with Davis out. Conor Hughes tweeted out during the game against the Eagles that ZW missed Mims on the trick play where he went to Griffin. Mims has been a huge disappointment.
