David Harris Posted December 23, 2021 Share Posted December 23, 2021 Grading Joe Douglas is not politics, it's not binary. Several good and bad things can be true at the same time. 1. The 2020 draft was bad 2. The 2021 draft was good 3. Next season he gets us out of cap hell (aside from the Mosely contract) 4. Some FA signings were misses like Jarrad Davis. Some look good relative to other contracts in the league like Corey Davis. 5. The OL and CB positions are a work in progress but are vastly improved. 6. How many turnovers including turnover on downs is Corey Davis Responsible for ? The guy has single handedly destroyed drives that could have turned the complexion of numerous games most notable the fumble in the Buffalo game when we were down 10-3 with 2:30 seconds left in the half that resulted in Buffalo going up 24 to 3 since they got the ball back in the second half. That fumble stole much needed rest for the defense and the momentum we were building with that drive. We could have gone into half time with a rested defense and a 10-10 or 10-6 score. He's as damn body catcher and almost never extends for a ball over the middle. He's play's in fear over the middle and never makes the big catch bailing out his QB like so many #1's in the NFL do.
