Jets were IN the playoffs already by New Year’s Day for the 1998, 2009, and 2010 seasons with exceptionally strong & talented rosters with great momentum (except 2010 where they lost 3 out 5 last games in Dec. to end the season)
 

So, AT LEAST, 3 New Year Days were joyous for Jets fans in the last 25 years.
