Call me crazy, but I think this upcoming game against the Bucs is a big one for several reasons

You mean prevent the Bucs from scoring in any way, shape or form? LaFleur is good enough in the booth to run an offense that can counter an injured Bucs defense to a point. The defense is what's crapped out

When he has a capable, not scared QB to work with, sure.

The past few weeks Wilson seems to have been more confident. Now if he can show that confidence against a strong defense things will look pretty good.

It is Todd Bowles, so. Recall all those Jets Bowles Error when the media and this board were filled with all kinds of stories and posts about Coach Bowles making that brilliant adjustment, strategy or personnel move that chnaged the game. Yeah, me neither.

Bucs coming off a terrible offensive game are gonna score a bit. Let us see if Wilson can stand a shootout with old Brady. Isn;t that why you take him top 2?

It’s definitely a benchmarking opportunity to see how this rebuild is actually going. The Jets being competitive today would indicate things may actually be moving in the right direction. Big game for JD, Saleh and Wilson. Another Another blowout and last weeks win looks pretty meaningless.

Jets just coming off a win;  getting many players back from injury/covid; last home game of the season; opportunity to play against the reigning Super Bowl Champs and Tom Brady.  The Bucs already won their division, and seems like a pipe dream to get the #1 seed even with 2 more wins.

Jets have young hungry talent who want to show on tape and Jets coaches that they are players for the future, and their future.

Zach Wilson looking better and more comfortable.

I know I won't be respected for declaring that the Jets will win this game, but I believe that the Jets will in fact win this game.

Well I have to say Zach is not throwing to the other team , unfortunately he's not throwing to our team either.

The Jets need to compete today for anyone to have any faith moving forward in Douglas, Saleh, and Wilson. The Jets cant afford to get blown out. Bucs have injuries everywhere too. Jets preaching rebuild- well heres your shot to show the fanbase things are turning around.

The Jets don't have a chance today. I just hope Zach looks decent and doesn't have a disaster game. This is going to be a rough one. The Bucs are so much better than the Jets are.

Maybe if we had a decent defense we would have a punchers chance at pulling off a shocking upset, but the Jets can't stop a nose bleed.

Zach has looked better the last few weeks but they haven't opened it up and started pushing the ball down field. It's just check down after check down. I don't see why that would change this week which is disappointing.

The rebuild is working and losing badly to the Super Champs and Likely Super Bowl favorites - in a game where the top 3 WR's are out - have the most injuries in the NFL with the youngest team in the NFL is not an indicator at all as to how the rebuild is progressing.  It really is a silly take....

New York Jets' 'fun little trio' outscores every draft class in team history...

Why?

I think that is a factually false statement.

When are fans allowed to have expectations? Douglas has two full drafts, a top two pick at QB, a handpicked coach who was highly thought of. Time to compete. Not expecting a win, but this game needs to be close in the 4th. Time to show the fanbase the needle is turning.

Bracing for blowout impact is weak. The Jets have no reason not to compete today.

They don't need to show the fan base anything.  No one is bracing for anything..

Some of us choose to take a realistic view of the situation.  If you want to hate on the team - that's really your prerogative.   I say good for you if you feel that way.

But others can understand what's happening here and watching the young guys starting to shine.  Understand that, regardless of what you think they have to do, the youngest team in the NFL doesn't usually win a whole lot of games.

And frankly,  it doesn't matter what we think - so they don't "HAVE" to do anything....JD is going to get his time to build this the way he set out to 2 1/2 years ago.

Nobody needs to show anyone anything.

You should have all the highest expectations in the world.

Be prepared to be disappointed.

Those of us living in reality understand we’re still not that close.

We’ve gotten blown out by worse teams than the Bucs, that win against Jax does not suddenly make us a contender.

Whatever your views on Zach, our defense is still horrendous. We didn’t add Dick Butkus, LT and Ronnie Lott during the week.

Very much so....Very good time to be a Jet fan.  The youth movement is taking hold and we're seeing our key rookies starting to show why this team is absolutely heading in the right direction.

Nothing is taking hold, this is an expansion level roster, and if Wilson doesn’t pan out, it will be for another 5 years.

This CS has shown you nothing to think they’re going to be here more than 2 more years at most.

Becton, Mims and the rest of the ‘20 draft look like a disaster.

Wilson looks worse than even the most pessimistic fans thought he would. We’re all hoping somehow, some way he’s able to turn it around.

AVT has been good, but he’s a 1st round pick we moved up to get to play LG. The Carters and Moore have been talked about here like they’re future stars, when in reality they’d be 2nd or 3rd stringers on a decent roster.

Despite all the high picks Douglas has had, we still don’t have a single player who has shown to be anything more than someone good enough to get minutes with a terrible team.

Wow that is hurtful, especially coming from you.

How about you have your own fantasy expectations and allow the rest of us to set our expectations on what we’ve seen and how we extrapolate what we’ve seen.

Go enjoy your day.

Expecting a team to compete is a fantasy now. lol. Loser mentality.
