If the starter wasn't the 32nd ranked QB in the league, maybe it would matter a lot less.

As much as you want it to be the case continuing to repeat this isn't going to make it true....

He was certainly there this season but continues to get better and moving up....We should be optimistic about his obvious growth and not using the first three weeks of his career to define his rookie season.

and these numbers tell a different story.  Not to say he's ranked high, but he has clearly moved up from 32 to 30 QBR and moved up to 27 in QB Rating...

That is ESPN's homepage mate, not a stats page.

I would presume any differences is probably related to who/what ESPN eliminated form their list (for not playing enough games/throws or whathaveyou).  One would have to crossreference the two sites to be sure, but it's a fair bet that is it.  ESPN (I believe) limits their statlist, Pro Football Reference lists everyone.

Sorry about that.   On the road.  I’ll update the link later.

wirt that said, the point I’m getting at is he’s moving up those lists, not down.

32nd ranked based on? Pff? He’s higher than a few starters. He’s 30th in qbr. Neither are great, but it’s obvious he’s been improving.

here’s a solid film breakdown of him too. Joe Blewett is generally very honest with what he sees and is good at breaking down film.
