Popular Post jetstream23
We know that this has been a historically bad defense for the Jets this season and not much has changed. But there are some surprising bright spots and things trending in the right direction in a few categories.... - It seemed all but guaranteed the Jets would end up with the worst point differential in the NFL but that simply will not happen now and the Jets victory over Jacksonville helped in that regard. Jax (-219) and the Jets (-177) bring up the bottom of the League with Houston (-169) not far behind. - First 6 games of the season the Jets had an average point differential of -15.8 which is almost unbelievable. Losing games by an average of more than 2 TDs. - Since Game 6 (10 games) the Jets have a point differential of -8.2. Still not good but a dramatic improvement. - The NYJ lead the NFL in Kickoff return average - The NYJ are 2nd in the NFL in Punt return average - After having a QB Rating above 80.0 only 3 times in his first 9 games, QB Zach Wilson has not had a Rating under 80.0 in his past 3 games. He hasn't thrown an INT in his past 4 games. ZW also seems to like the number 19. He has thrown precisely 19 completions 5 different times this season, including today vs. Tampa. - While Braxton Berrios has been a real difference maker on Special Teams and making some clutch catches it might be surprising to know that he ranks 6th on the team in Yards per Reception amongst players with at least 20 catches. K. Cole, Corey Davis, Moore, Ty Johnson and Ryan Griffin all average more per catch. This surprised me. - Michael Carter and Tevin Coleman have combined for 970 yards rushing and an excellent 4.5 yards per carry. The Jets rushing game has been the straw that stirs the drink on offense this year! I'd argue that along with excellent Special Teams play (Berrios) the Jets rushing attack has been the thing that's kept them competitive in the games they've won or been close. - Despite playing only 11 games Elijah Moore continues to lead the NYJ in receiving yards (538). The Jets have not had that one "go-to guy" all season that most other NFL teams seem to benefit from. Finding that one dependable clutch guy (think Gronk for Brady, Cupp for Stafford, Adams for Aaron Rodgers, Kelce for Mahomes, etc.) should be a big objective for the Jets in the offseason. - Despite the criticism he receives CJ Mosley is having a fairly good season. He's currently 5th in the NFL in tackles (142) with 2 sacks, 2 passes defensed and 2 forced fumbles. This on a defense with question marks around him at LB, rookies in the secondary and almost no Safety help behind him. 6

Joe W. Namath
Everything is looking up. This is the best spot this franchise has been in since parcells got here in 1997. This team is going to take off like a rocketship next year. Going to be a fun ride.
frankiepapa
Nice to see the numbers trending in the right direction... one thing that has been impressive is when ty Johnson gets to the edge... he's had some pretty nice carries as well and had good blocking down field by the wr's Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
