Popular Post bostonmajet
Good. At least JD didn't wait for him to explode, have is best game/year as a WR and become critical to games He won't be as cheap as he was 8 weeks ago, but hopefully he can be signed quickly at a reasonable cost. In addition to locking him up for the next 3 years or so, this sends a good message. It doesn't matter how you get to the team, when you get a chance to prove yourself, show up. If you deliver, you will be rewarded with starting reps and a new contract. Whether Mims is here next year or not, this coaching staff benched him to much criticism when we desperately needed WRs. He got his shot a few weeks back and blew it. If he actually gets a chance to play next week, he had better step up. While this year there are many opportunities to step up, next year the WR class will be crowded again. I don't know if Yaboeoh will stick, but he made the best of his opportunities this weekend. Hopefully he gets rewarded with more playing time next week as well. 6

Beerfish
Berrios agent is smart if he pushed to get this going now. One of these days we wont have gms like Douglas around here.
Popular Post David Harris
I mean is this like a JFM where he has 2 good games and we overpay? He's the type of guy you want on your team but as a role player. I'm hoping $4-5 mill per year with 2 yrs and 3rd yr option. He doesn't get separation and you mostly have to scheme him the ball, he's 5'9". He has a new found burst and his ST returns have really improved. Love the kid but only at the right price. Ready to let Keelan Cole walk btw.

Popular Post KRL
He's developed himself from just a "return guy" into an actual WR. Berrios has done everything Mims needed to do: - Develop chemistry with Wilson - Develop his skills to where he gives off a "Chrebet vibe" - Mastered the "jet sweep" in this offense to where its becoming a "go to" play 15

Adoni Beast
Great news....Mims is history and we'll still need to add a WR in free agency or high in the draft but I like this move if it gets done.
DoubleDown
9 minutes ago, Green Ghost said: Wishful thinking IMO. If Douglas is offering those type numbers, Berrios will go FA. Not sure about that. For reference, Corey Davis signed a 3 year, $37.5m contract in 2021, and he was one of the more sought after free agent WRs. Three years averaging $8m per year would put him on par with someone like Jameson Crowder. It would also be significantly more than players like Sammy Watkins and Cordarelle Patterson received recently.

So what is your minimum price for Berrios then? And at that price are you resigning him to be a starter at WR?

The Crusher
19 hours ago, Warfish said: So what is your minimum price for Berrios then? And at that price are you resigning him to be a starter at WR? It’s tough because he’s a nice 3-4th wide receiver and he’s an above average kick returner. Throw in that nobody else on our team catches a lot balls and it’s a tuff oneZ
