Guest David Goodstein
I have a feeling ATL will want to move up to get a QB. Ridley needs a fresh start. He has 1 year remaining and will cost 11M next year. They have about 25 guys that will hit FA and have a cap space of 13M. The jets should want to move down to get either of the LBs and pick up an extra 2nd. Jerts do not give up much to gamble on Ridley. Win/Win for both teams. What say you? Flightattendant
Yup. In a heartbeat.
BurntDice
If they are able to do their due diligence before the trade and everything checks out then sign me up.
BCJet
Yes in one second. Also, Ridley is in the last year of his deal at $11 million. Not only do the falcons not have a ton of cap room (so this deal would help there too) but if Ridley isnt a great fit here or winds up being too expensive, he would bring back a great comp pick, so there is a lot to like about this deal. Guest David Goodstein
You are correct they have about 13M and have 25 pending FA's. I think its a win/win for both teams.
section314
If you can remove Ridley from this, I'm in.
PepPep
low risk, high reward. The WFT would need to be interested in a QB and Carolina would probably need to have not taken a QB, so some stars would need to align. But this would def be a great little move down. Not sure what LBs we are targeting at 10. Dean or Lloyd?
Guest David Goodstein
Love both Dean and Lloyd as its a position of need. Would not be surprised if we double down in the 2nd and get Smith or Harris.
jetstream23
I'd be open to this but the Jets would need to do a serious evaluation on Ridley, his mindset, desire to play, physical condition and commitment.
Be_a_Jet
We have the #10 pick and they have the #7 pick though…
