Try to Keep:

G Laurent Duvernay Tardif (HOPEFULLY as depth)

T Morgan Moses presumed starting RT

QB Joe Flacco (1st option, Another Vet if not)

RB Tevin Coleman

K Eddie Pinerio (camp battle)

DT Foley Fatukasi (he might get paid too much)

WR Braxton Berrios (3 year 18 million + incentives- ISH   He isn’t a sign at all cost guy)

K Matt Ammendola (camp battle)

Keep the rest if they are cheap and can’t be upgraded.  If there isn’t an all new TE room it’s a failure.

Really only 3-5 worth keeping and paying a premium for IMO. I’d rather restock through FA to upgrade starters (OLine, LB) and draft for depth and eventual replacements who should start within 2-3 years from now.

I’m for keeping Flacco as a backup.

White deserves a shot to compete elsewhere. Flacco is the ideal NFL grizzled vet with the playoff scars and SB ring to step in for an injured Wilson in ‘22 and not miss a beat.

I want to keep MyQuite. He's very young and if Wilson gets hurt again or just implodes, I'd much rather watch White than a veteran on his way out of the league.

like to keep coleman on a one year deal if possible - blair is exactly the kind of guy we need to upgrade from - may play hard but slower than sh*t - gets beat off the edge regularly - cole is a jags jag - two big plays all season and in the last game of the year? no thanks

We were 4-12. If you are not a developing player and getting better (and there are only a handful on that list) hit the road. But I would make an exception for Maye. If some other team makes him a great offer, Gob Bless him and wish him luck, but if he doesn't get a great offer (which is the more likely occurrence) the Jets should sign him to a 1 year deal. They need to do this because: 1) he is the best S on the team; and 2) because he his is a Jet drafted veteran it sends the correct message to the team i.e. if you ball out for the team and become injured, we will not abandon you.  Loyalty is a valuable commodity and it is hard earned. I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but JD does seem to be a players' GM in that he often trades guys to better situations and even though he is a tough negotiator, he is not a lowballing dickhead like many other GMs.

Finally, as to signing Maye, would there be anything sweeter than for all of us to watch Maye hoist the Lombardi trophy knowing that some sourpuss box safety is sitting at home pouting about not having enough dawgs?
