There was a clear emphasis, and I think I heard it in different ways two separate times, that JD and Saleh value building at the LOS and that winning starts in the trenches.  We've heard it before.  I

Let's not rush them here.  Jet fans are always so impatient!  I think we're going to have to wait a minimum of 2 decades before we can even begin to judge them.

They have their eyes on 2023 like ive said all along.  And its the right way to build this team.

From 2 wins, to 4 - I think a realistic goal would be 7 next year.  I just wanna see the jets on the “in the hunt” section late in the season next year.

To be safe, let's just agree on a 30-year "construct" phase for JD and Saleh to "fully fledge" in their respective jobs.  After that, they can begin to nail down specific directions, or "avenues of pursuit", for the team.

I continue to believe that Saleh wants to win upfront BADLY... he wants to pressure the QB with only 4 players and use his second and third levels to pickoff wobbly passes from hurried QBs.  It's why Carl Lawson was our big FA target last year and it's why I think we'll hit Edge again very early in the Draft.

7 or 8 wins seems like a realistic goal.  More importantly, I don't want to see the losses looking like blowouts.  This needs to become a Jets team that's within a TD in the 4th quarter of games even against much better opponents.  I feel like we started to see this over the past few weeks, particularly vs. Tampa.

I think the possibility that we go with Evan Neal, Icky Ekwonu or Charles Cross at 4 is legitimate.

No doubt.  I said something similar above.

Winning "bully ball" on both sides of the line seems to be what the Jets want to do.  Continued investment in the OL and DL almost seems guaranteed.  JD used 1st round picks in two consecutive years on OL.

I just don’t want to go into each weekend thinking we have little to no chance of coming out with a win.

I'm just worried it means Joe D will be looking among ditch diggers for even more budget lineman

Ikem Ekwonu. Jermaine Johnson II. 

  • Both trench players - Ekwonu played the wide zone in college
  • Likely to increase their stock @ the combine
  • Both have reputations for physicality and aggressiveness 

If you don't re-sign Moses, you can go into camp with Fant on a one year deal and, and Becton & Ekwonu competing for two spots. 

Move JFM back inside.

Please tell me that's a WR who catches everything so that when we draft him we can call him "Sticky Hands Icky", or just "Sticky Icky".
