Marshmello
Interesting. https://www.the33rdteam.com/miami-dolphins-and-carolina-panthers-will-benefit-from-coaching-at-the-senior-bowl/ Over the last five years (2016-2020), 10 different teams have had the opportunity to coach the Senior Bowl and have the advantage that Miami and Carolina hold this year. Since 2016, those 10 teams have combined to draft 25 players that attended the Senior Bowl. A majority of these players were drafted in the middle rounds: Only two of the drafted players (4%) were taken in the first two rounds, while 72% were taken in Rounds 3-5. The San Francisco 49ers are a good example of how coaching the Senior Bowl can inform a team’s draft and help to find key prospects in the middle rounds of the draft. The 49ers coached in the 2019 Senior Bowl. 2019 NFL A few months later, they selected four players who were at the game. Three of those players have since become starters: wide receiver Deebo Samuel (second round), punter Mitch Wishnowsky (fourth round) and linebacker Dre Greenlaw (fifth round).

Lets not foget the Dolphins coached Justin herbert at the Senior Bowl 2 years ago and then went ahead and drafted Tua instead of him. 1

Flores wanted Herbert badly... but Ross wanted Tua... They've had numerous disagreements over that which is the main reason Flores was fired.
Beerfish
After what happened to williams last night i predict a lot of players showing up having a practice or two maybe some drills then pulling a hammy before the game.
IndianaJet
This is great news. 3-4-5 years down the line, when the Jets are competing for multiple SuperBowl championships, top tier FAs are going to remember what an awesome week they had with Saleh and Co. and will be chomping at the bit to come join the Jets and extend the dynasty! 1

Popular Post Greenbloodblitz
I just heard the news and I was going to post this. This is a really great advantage as far as the draft goes. The last time the Jets coached the Senior bowl we drafted Marty Lyons and Mark Gastineau. I'm starting to get a positive feeling... which is kind of awkward being a Jets fan. 4 4

The Jets will have a total of four picks in the first two rounds in the draft!!! These are the area of concern for the Jets going into next season, they need a C, RG, RT, WR, TE, MLB, Edge, Safety and CB. Those are areas of main concern right now that needs to be addressed!!!! This is the best opportunity to see them up close before the combine and individual workouts after the combine. Maybe we can get a talent consultant to go with him. Denzel Mims doesn't get "it" Berrios does. I'd rather have Braxton than Mims, Robbie Anderson, Perriman, OBJ, or Antonio Brown. I really hope they do the right thing and keep this kid around for a while.

Here’s an under the radar dude that the Jets will probably love and move to LB Terrific senior bowl class, especially at TE, jets get a huge advantage this year in an offseason with 4 picks in the top 50. Being able to evaluate a lot of these players up close, then on top of it build relationships with guys that may end up UDFA. JD has done pretty well for himself in this area, now getting additional information and solid scouting opportunities on these players should enhance their ability to add some solid late round to UDFA talent this offseason, building to an already young but promising base.

WestCoastMole
6 hours ago, derp said: It’s a really good Senior Bowl class overall. This would be awesome especially with all the picks the Jets have. Probably not guys in play at 4/10 but 35 and later could all be Senior Bowl guys. Looking at you, Trey McBride. Even further down than that derp. The scouting staff knows inside-out the first 75 to 100 players to be taken in the draft. Where this will help the Jets is picking up info on players to be taken in rounds 4 through 7. The Jets have 2 Picks in the 4th and the 5th rounds. Given the additional information the Jets will glean from this opportunity I would not be surprised if they wind up taking 2 Tight-End. One in the Second Round and a second TE in Rounds 4 or 5. Those are the rounds where a draft pick has to show the willingness to play Special Teams if he hopes to make the final roster his first year. This is an excellent opportunity to see what players embrace the unglamorous jobs.
BigRy56
This is a major advantage and how the Chargers fell in love with Herbert when there were 100 questions about him. I expect this to have a positive impact on our draft

The mid rounds are where it’ll make a big difference but with two second round picks and a strong class there will be guys in that late first/early second round mix in who the Jets could take as early as that 35th pick - Dotson, McBride, Kinnard, Zion Johnson, Penning, Raimann, Jermaine Johnson, Sanders, Thomas, Brisker. Other guys too of course but those names jump out. Particularly as the staff seems to value personality fits and there’s a pretty good need value match with several of those guys I wouldn’t be surprised if one of those two second rounders comes from the Senior Bowl.
