Freeman McNiel?  I shut it off at that point.

Yea, he really should have not been included.

He's the second leading rusher in franchise history and averaged at least 4.0 YPC for every season of his career.

Well we missed out on Lawrence Taylor by 1 pick (due to the meaningless win against the Dolphins in the famed "announcer-less game")

Right, but that doesn't make Freeman McNeil a draft "blunder." We never had a chance to draft LT.

This is true.  I went back for fun to see the other options out there.  Kenny Easley was picked right after Freeman and Ronnie Lott went #8 (both HOFers).  Of course picks 2 through 4 had 2 HOFers (out of 3 picks) and we took the non-HOFer.  Lol.

But it's easy to look back and be critical after the fact.

Side note: Quite a sh-tty draft for the Packers that year.  They took a QB named Rich Campbell at #6 OA.  Then they took a TE named Gary Lewis in round 2 (another "never was").  Then they took a punter named Ray Stachowicz with the 6th pick in round 3.  That has to be one of the all-time worst drafts.

I had a feeling there would be an article out there about that awful draft:

Oh i hated the buzzword “spy” that started a few years ago and disappeared.

Today i hate “edge”. Just say end you freaks

100%

Also, and I may be in the minority here but the word "physicality" really bothers me.  Just say he's f?cking physical and likes to hurt people.
