Dicker the Kicker

Any interest in using a very late pick on a K if the Jets trade back?

Cameron Dicker seems like one of the more draftable one.  Also punts.

Any idea how he has done in late, game on the line type situations?

One reason I would much rather sign a proven FA, than trying to find a rookie -- either draftee or FA -- is at least with a vet, you know how he handles NFL pressure.

So many college games are not nearly as tight as NFL games, I think drafting a college kicker is a crapshoot unless the guy has come through making multiple tough game winning kicks.

I usually am perfectly fine with dropping a 7th (if we had one) on a kicker since I rarely expect it to yield any value at any other position.  But it seems like a complete crapshoot as many of the better college kickers don't translate well to the NFL and more than a few of the best NFL kickers were UDFA.

He definitely nailed a long game winner against OU a few years back (2018, I think) that got the infamous “Dicker the Kicker” call from Gus Johnson.
