Gase is as vengeful a guy as Belichick. He wanted the Jets job just to shove his firing from Miami in the Dolphins' face. There's nothing he'd love more than to see Belichick retire, McDaniels become HC and then get hired as OC to face the Jets twice each year. The owners and GMs are seeing in the interviews that he isnt the guy, over and over again. But the media is going to keep pushing him. It's a big ask to hire an OC who doesnt call plays and has a superstar QB. But... The Jets did it. So anything's possible. Spot on about Bienemy. Everyone and every team in the NFL wants to see him get a head coaching job.... just not for their team. The guy isn't blackballed and he's not a bad football coach. He's simply not HC material. There's nothing wrong with that, some guys are just much better suited to being coordinators or assistants and not the head honcho.

JoJoTownsell1
There is nothing in this universe that would be more typical of being a Jets fan, than to watch Gase develop Jones into a great QB, take over for Belichick and win multiple Super Bowls while we are forced to watch him make googly eyes on the sidelines for 2 decades.

If Pats had a mobile QB I wouldn't care if Gase went there but having a statue at QB is exactly what Gase tried to turn Sam into so he'd be ecstatic to work with Mac Jones

FootballLove
What we know about Gase is he struggles to win more than a few games a season with the worst QB and the worst roster in football. Can't be having that if you wanna win SuperBowls!!!

Jimmy 2 Times
Remember all those videos of Jet receivers running open and Sam not seeing them? Mac Jones is ready. OR, maybe Belichick is convinced that Mac Jones has got the offense down so well he decided to replace McDaniel with a puppet who'll stay out of Jones' way and go for coffee, like Gase did with Peyton Manning.
