Until that changes, because the ownership is not, the Jets will continue to be bad. Unless Douglas has an A+++ offseason, nailing every draft pick the Jets will be a 5-7 win team in 2022. The 2020 draft was fireable alone and last years was just OK. You need to be better. I think we also need to look at the turnover from Mac's scouts to JD's taking over. While JD was at the top in 2020 he's listening to all the guys who were there for Mac, set up by Mac looking the way Mac wanted it done, because he was a scout at heart and had come up that way. It took JD over a year just to get his scouts staffed through the organization and get a consistent scouting plan in place for each region. So what we are going to see is an increase in scouting hits as the roles continue to solidify and the plan comes together. More guys looking for what we need specifically in each region exactly how the coaches want to find guys can only help.

It's going to take time. I think 2024 is more likely than 2023. The trouble is that the staff doesnt have the luxury of time, they might get a pass next year but need a mandate to win in 2023. The fanbase wont allow a true rebuild

How long do you thinks this takes? A decade? We will be one of the best teams in the league in 2023 and ready to make a nice playoff run.
Rangers1
It kind of seems to me that that is a pipe dream at times. Hope I am wrong this is a franchise with a 1-61 season record i really hope that we start being a consistent contender like 1966-68 . I will keep my optimistic rose colored glasses on. The Jets/ Titans have a combined season record of 1 win (Super Bowl ) 61 non Super Bowl seasons. I keep rooting for another in my lifetime, never say never, and I have seen all of them

But the following season we’ll get back to the playoffs as a legit contender. Stay tuned. I do appreciate the optimism and the wait and see approach. "You Gotta Believe"!
