Throwback to where the Jets were 12 months ago in January 2021

A year ago, after their first season in the NFL, we were worried about the 5 guys taken in the middle of the 2020 Draft.  

And now, after their second year, we need to extend that red box unfortunately.

Hoping for a BIG step forward this year. Fortify the OL and get him a true #1 WR and a solid vet TE + one in the draft if JD doesn’t think Yeboah has the tools/desire

Great question.   I really don't want a guy like that on the team I root for and, morality aside, Watson's situation remains unsettled.  From a football standpoint he may still face a suspension and his legal status isn't completely clear.  It would be a HUGE distraction for the Jets had they made that trade.  Imagine throwing both 1st round picks plus other capital at Houston for Watson and having him sitting around not playing.  I think the Jets are fortunate to be rolling with Zach Wilson and AVT, even if Zach's upside and future are still to be determined.
