good news for us? maybe

Joe Judge is getting a chance to rehab his image in familiar territory.

The fired Giants head coach is returning to the Patriots as an offensive assistant, according to Sports Illustrated. The deal is reportedly expected to be finalized within days.

Judge, 40, spent eight years on Bill Belichick’s staff in New England before the Giants hired him as their head coach in 2020.

The Giants fired Judge in early January after two losing seasons. The move came a day after general manager Dave Gettleman retired ignominiously after four seasons. Judge went 10-23 in his two years in New York.

The news of Judge returning to Foxborough came a day after an ESPN report said the Raiders were interested in Judge as a special teams coordinator, the position he held with the Patriots during his final five years in New England.

Belichick is running a scam on the league

he appoint this idiots to be coordinators by title only and behind the scenes he is telling them what to do.

then by his recommendation they get hired to be head coaches , fail because they suck but in the process earn millions of dollars   , get fired and then he hire them back for peanuts

From head coach to offensive assistant? Ouch, that has to sting a bit.

Not nearly as much as Gase, who went from Jets head coach to offensive coordinator in high school.  The high school went 4-5, so it's a case of someone being demoted to the level of their incompetence.

Wow. I thought he was sitting on his couch getting paid to eat Doritos. That is ignominious

When the hell are NFL owners gonna realize hiring a coach from the cheats is not working? Mike Vrabel is the only one to have a modicum of sustained success.

The catch is... he never coached the Patriots.
