SoFlaJets
Woody Johnson needs to hire the best PT people that he can find, not only medical staffers but the people who are utilizing the most modern I techniques and ideas for athletes to help keep themselves limber, healthy and performing at optimum levels. From nutrition to off season training exercises, all the way up to pre-game warm-ups. These things absolutely must be addressed because something's wrong in Florham Park when every player who steps on the playing field is guaranteed to end up missing games, at least that's the way it seems. Yes I understand the rate of attrition as it pertains to pro football players, but the Jets were losing whole corps of position players by December and it can't ALL be "bad luck". If this doesn't change it won't matter how many draft picks or top their free agents are signed because if Woody Johnson, whose business is tied to the health care industry, doesn't step in and step up and get the right people to work with these players, we're not going anywhere . Sout0266
I’m curious what the breakdown of injures is as far as location. MetLife is known for having bad turf, but was there a higher injury rate on it compared to on the road?
Joe W. Namath
I think the performance and regen department has only been in place for a year. I am sure they have collected all the data and are making changes as to what needs to be done. Joe Douglas is a sharp cat. He told Woody this needed to be put in place and woody obliged. Some of these injuries are bad luck but anything that can be controlled, these guys will get it done.
peekskill68
Not saying the data isn't real, but I suspect some of these injuries may be occurring on other teams in the playoff hunt where guys are going back out there and playing through it vs. being shut down. Why risk it on a 4-win team?
Greenseed4
Could explain the emphasis on getting players who LOVE football. Some people, myself included, will call in sick to work with a slightly runny nose.
