The Jets have hired Greg Scruggs as an assistant defensive line coach, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.

Scruggs had been the University of Cincinnati defensive line coach since the 2020 season.

The 31-year-old won two Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and was a defensive end with the Seattle Seahawks from 2012 to 2015, when Robert Saleh was a defensive quality control coach for the first two seasons of his career.

Interesting hire, Myjai Sanders EDGE (Cinn) is a projected 2-3d round pick. Saleh stated yesterday that EDGE past the first round is also an option.
