Doggin94it
Washington is releasing him. He actually would be a good fit in the "Safety-turned-LB" role in Saleh's defense, since he's always been a heavy hitter with weakness in deep coverage. Plus as a cut player he wouldn't impact the compensatory pick formula. Kick the tires?

NIGHT STALKER
NFLPA is weak compared to the MLBPA and NBAPA...imagine a baseball or basketball player being asked to take a pay cut.

BigRy56
Safety is as big of a need as any. The Jets had a lot of interest in Keanu Neal to play that hybrid spot last year, I think Collins could play that too
KRL
My biggest question about Collins would be how football "smart" is he? Because we need someone at the safety spot who can coordinate a young secondary. If he can't "run" a secondary I would pass because he's never been great in coverage

He's decent in run defense and blitzing.

We do need some veteran experience in that position

JoJoTownsell1
There are a bunch of quality safeties available in free agency this year. Marcus Williams, Jessie Bates, Collins, Diggs. I would bet we end up with one of those guys. It's an impact player that you can get cheap (relative to free agents at other positions of need).
