Watching NFL network FA coverage. Multiple teams way over the cap.

going to be interesting to see who gets traded or waived before what, Wednesday?

Would be a dick move to keep a guy unavailable Monday and Tuesday, but it’s a big boy league

The cap is Joke, those players will restructure and stay with the team. It happens every year

Well if it comes down to money alone, we should have our new WR tomorrow.

4 years $64 Million with $30 Million guaranteed (Hopefully that extra push to play in NY.)  A base salary of $2 Million and signing bonus of $12 Million and a roster bonus of $8 Million.  Will make his cap hit $13 Million in year one, and $22 Million year 1 with $20 Million at signing.

who knows how true these things are at this point but I get the impression Hughes is pretty dialed in.

None of the beat reporters are dialed in.  This is all speculation based on their needs.

Isn't he signed to another 3 years at 10 per?

That's very reasonable and would probably cost more to sign him if released.

RT that can play RG is the perfect add to this team especially if they sign Jensen and dump McGovern.

Big Ticket insurance in 22 and can let Fant walk in 23 if Ticket fulfills his potential.

I wouldn't hate this. Extend Fant, play Collins at RT and move Becton for another 1st round pick from a team drafting late (e.g. Bengals).

I'd plan on him being the RG and Becton insurance if he doesn't get his act together.

Great depth too if Becton or Fant get injured.

If Ticket is great we can let Fant walk.  If Ticket is out of shape, we extend Fant and move Collins to RT.

La'el Collins has positional flexibility, which Douglas loves, and can play guard. He could upgrade starting RG while giving us excellent depth at tackle. It would be a nice insurance policy in case Becton flakes out.

That's the take!

Positional flexibility, insurance policy on Becton, and negates the loss of Morgan Moses.  Also, let's you hedge any contract extension talk with Fant (if that's happening or if it will happen).
