thank you CJF, and thanks to anyone else that I missed. Much appreciated.

Happy birthday dude! You do a great job with these free agency updates, especially for people like me who only use Twitter with a burner account for porn.

Good teams are not build with 1st round or expensive ol tho… look at the super bowl teams compared to the OL of the decade in the cowboys. They have what 1 playoff win maybe? I think they only have like 2 or 3 since around 98. The jets have a better playoff record.  The playoff teams usually have a decent ol great weapons and an above average-great defense .  Usually at least decent on defense and solid offensive weapons.

I'm no expert, but the way I see it, the last two SB losers lost because of their o-line, or because of the great d-line on the other side.

And everyone that makes that game has great weapons, excluding the Brady Patriot days.

Again, not an expert, but I think the game has changed once again the past 4 or so years. "Good coverage" has become far more difficult with the way the sport is currently being officiated. The recipe for success, at least the one I see, requires two ingredients: a great offense and a pass rushing defensive line.

I'm not advocating drafting another offensive lineman in the first. I wouldn't hate it if we did, but I'd far prefer a pass rusher and a receiver.

But none of that has much to do with Marcus Williams being a bad signing (at the rumored price). Whatever we may disagree on, I think that point is near universally accepted by Jets fans.

The chiefs lost because their OL was devastated with injuries and didn’t have depth.

The rams have the best cb in the league and the bengals have one of the better safeties who made a potential game changing int.

I agree that pass rush is huge in todays nfl, but if the backfield is trash (like ours) then the opposing wrs/TEs  can get open very quickly and the rush won’t be able to get there.

I like Marcus Williams, but 15 is just too high. Maybe if he was in the 10-11 range then I’d feel better about it

this safety draft class is pretty good so I’d rather just draft one and maybe sign someone like Jordan whitehead for half the price. I don’t trust Ashtyn Davis or Joyner to be locked in starters

Sure, the Chiefs OL was decimated with injuries but the game was completely uncompetitive because of it. That should show us how important of a group o-line is. And if only the Bengals had even an average offensive line...

The Bengals had a below average secondary outside of Bates. And only now did they tag him. And that tag is 10.6 mil for one year. Signing someone not as good as Bates for 50% more for multiple years would be a massive blunder, in my estimation.

Ramsey? I mean, was he a big factor in that game? For all the good he did, seems like the officiating so favors the offense that even the consensus best corner in the league can be face-masked and thrown to the ground by a receiver without it being called. Whereas, what, for three consecutive plays in the redzone, the Rams benefitted from PI calls on Cooper Kupp? Why spend premium resources on a position that isn't even really allowed to play? I'd rather just spend my resources on hitting the quarterback and making sure I score every possession I'm on offense. Who needs expensive corners if it's a coin toss every play on what's going to be called PI and what's considered "tight coverage".

Hey I'm cool with Whitehead and/or a day 2/3 safeties. That sounds perfect.

And like I said earlier, I'm not looking for another first round offensive lineman - the only exception being if the Jets already know internally that Becton is a bust, which is a distinct possibility. But I'd rather trade for L'ael anyway if that's the case.

i wonder if he could give it back. they sold him a fake. its not Bradys last TD. its like you just bought the Mona Lisa and the next day they tell you its not really it. we made a mistake. well then you better give me my money back!

Nah, it'd be more like if you bought the original Mona Lisa and the next day they resurrect da Vinci and he paints 10 more exact copies.

he traded adams cause he wanted too much money, now he wants to go after williams?....**** safety its not an area of great importance.....get more o-line and skill players like TE which Jets havent had one since Dustin Keller before they ruin him like Darnold.

Jet fans are gonna get tired of this guy quick too, he keeps saying we gotta get weapons for Zack.....he'll be saying the same thing next year...rinse and repeat. The fire douglas plane will be flying over met life when its another 3-4 win season this year and Zack still has no weapons to help. SOJ just rinse and repeat.
