I don't think any of the players are a Jamarr Chase level. I think the value at WR is the top of round 2. Garrett, London, and Olave feel like locks before 20. Burks, Williams, and Dotson would be the next 3 IMO with Watson and Pickens not far behind. Personally I'm hoping one of Burks or Williams fall to 35 (even with the ACL). I'd be happy with any of those 8 guys. There is no one jamar chase level There are no olineman as good as Slater or Sewell There is no TE as good as Pitts There is o CB as good as Patrick Surtain There is no pass rusher as good as Jaelon Phillips (debatable maybe..maybe) There is no LB as good as parsons Qbs not even close The Jets unfortunately got screwed having high picks in this draft.
Shockwave
Absolutely loved how we handled FA last year and hope it happens again. That approach would like be 1-2 stars like Scherff on a longer term deal then lots of 1 year deals. Should help with Comp picks which was clearly one of his goals as well as cap flexibility year to year. He's not overspending and definitely will not be acting desperate in free agency. None of the good teams do that.

What exactly was there to love with last years FA? Corey Davis? Keelan Cole? Dan Feeney? A bunch of JAGS. A decent draft. My hopes are fading fast for JD and Co. 3

In fact, there's not even an Elijah Moore in this Draft. This isn't the year to take a WR in Round 1. Teams need to "take what the Draft gives you." This year that is primarily defenders, especially Edge defenders. It's also fairly deep at OL. In fact, I'd argue that the linebacker group is even better than the WR group this year, particularly in the first 3 rounds. When you're deep at a position you don't use an early pick on that position unless someone stands out from the group
Popular Post peekskill68
When you see how JD has set himself up, either having to overpay for a free agent, or needing to burn a 1st round pick, it really puts into perspective how badly he missed in 2020 with Mims. THAT was the draft to find the weapons...
Untouchable
Cordarelle Patterson is going to be our “big get” on offense, mark my words. JD will think that he can replace Berrios, Crowder and Coleman all with a single 31 year old career underachiever. Happy days…

BigRy56
I would very much like to see the Jets be involved in Danielle Hunter. That would be an enormous get 2

Definitely Deebo type guy can run and get yac on those short passes. Keep Moore from getting banged up maybe.

So based on what he says the targets will be in FA it sounds like the 4 and 10 pick will be DE and WR. Most likely this, but I think their plans are truly fluid

Beerfish
One thing that was showed, once again and reinforce last year is everything changes if you have a hof type QB. For years and years and years Belli and the pats were geniuses for never spending a lot in free agency never over spending. Then Brady left and they fell on their asses and lo and behold the next year they outspend everyone. 1 1

So probably no good edge rushers or wrs in fa, but maybe a safety, guard and lb.

Just putting LDT at RG dramatically changed the offense. That is how bad GVR was. Good guy, bad right guard. Feeney is actually worse, so hopefully we don’t see him again either. Good guy, bad IOL. Paying Scherff $10+mm to play RG, not LG (which we invested a mid-round first round, and 2 third round picks on) is not really a good use of resources.

What they did last year is exactly what you're supposed to with a quarterback on a rookie deal. They added a bunch of veteran depth and let him dink and dunk.
