kevinc855
JD must be paying Hughes for ridiculous tweets like this.... JD isn't very good at being a GM, but seems to be very good at controlling the narrative and maintaining a "we are on the way up" demeanor when there is no real truth or reality to it. Snell41
Bullsh*t!! Total utter bullsh*t. We have the 4th highest cap space and nary a good ******* player on this team and we can’t figure out how to make room for Cooper? GB can give $80 million to two players when they’re already over the cap and we can’t do sh*t being $50 mil under? Bullsh*t, sounds more to me that Woody’s holding some funds aside for his Soccer team.Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

Out of the top 5 salaries for the Jets (Mosley, Lawson, C Davis, JFM, Fant), I'd say Fant and Mosley contributed, and I will rate Lawson as incomplete, but no one of that list is a difference maker. The Rams have also drafted better. Just looking at their 2019 draft, they have picks from the 3-5 rounds which are contributing on a regular basis (in a complete stunner, their starting guard was picked in the 5th round!!). Nick Scott, a safety whom they drafted in the 7th round, had 2 interceptions last year (is that more than the whole Jets team??). Up until last year, I think I can count on one hand how many impact players we've had in the last 5 drafts. Looking at one review, ranking the best to worst of the 2019 draft, just goes to show the 'experts' sometimes know nothings. I would happily trade their draft for ours. Grade: B 13. New York Jets Whom they drafted: DT Quinnen Williams, OLB Jachai Polite, OT Chuma Edoga, TE Trevon Wesco, OLB Blake Cashman, CB Blessuan Austin Mike Maccagnan had to meet the defensive demands of Gregg Williams after delivering Le'Veon Bell to Adam Gase's offense. Williams was a home run and Polite was great value. The Jets did just OK with the rest of their limited haul. Grade: D 32. Los Angeles Rams Whom they drafted: S Taylor Rapp, RB Darrell Henderson, CB David Long, OT Bobby Evans, DT Greg Gaines, OT David Edwards, S Nick Scott, LB Dakota Allen Let’s just say this is a 180 from the superstar free-agent haul Les Snead gathered in the 2018 offseason to turn the Rams into NFC champions. The Rams strangely ignored their need to boost their interior offensive line and edge pass rush early. Rapp and Henderson have real bust potential and both Long and Evans were reaches, leaving Gaines as their one truly OK pick. All that being said, the Rams are now 20M before the cap (with the Jets currently 50M below the cap). We'll see what happens in the next couple of months (restructured contracts / cuts / etc).

A 5th this year and a 6th next year for a 20 mil receiver that will instantly become the best weapon on the team is not 'irresponsible'. With four picks in the top 38, you can knock out four of those needs right there, have traded for Cooper, signed a starting vet RG and a bunch of depth players. I'm not even a huge Cooper fan, but after seeing the price, I'm pissed. Royally pissed Filling all those needs through FA is totally not, what he’s syimg Its ctually pretty easy to,grasp, what he’s saying instead of being a chronic whiner
