Any chance we can transfer to NFC?

Recommended Posts

Two edge rushers and a DL by 38.

If we are going to win games against all of these elite QBs in the AFC, we are not going to be able to outscore them.  We are going to have to make them miserable.  We need Lawson to come back strong.  And add two guys in the draft to get after the QB.  Another DT to work with QW to generating interior pressure.

Control the clock with a strong OL an solid running game.  Take care of the ball.  Find a red zone target in the draft or FA/trade so we can get in the end zone when we have a chance.  And get after these QBs.

You do know who the starting qb is?

Yes, I sure do. But Zach Wilson is not a finished product by any stretch of the imagination. I know us Jets fans like to play the pity game and act like a bunch of eeyores with a rain cloud over our head, but he showed glimpses. The talents he possesses you can’t teach. Give the young man some leash; QB is a tough position, not everyone is going to be a Justin Herbert.

Wilson showed nothing last year and on offense at least he had a pretty decent supporting cast

Move to the NFC ... still have to play AFC in Superbowl. ;-)

Iron sharpens iron - you only become the best by playing against the best. Hoping for a weak schedule is ... weak.

It won't be long until things start to change naturally too. Look at the winners / losers article about the Adams trade, how KC are already starting to hit the cap to keep all their current talent, can't add much more, and have Tyreek Hill needing a new contract.

It's been over 50 years since the Jets even got to a SB.  I don't think we can count on things "naturally" changing.

Admittedly, this offseason has made me a lot more optimistic about the team but we really need ZW to step up if we're going to compete for real in the AFC.
